nonsense, a nice flathead ford is THE engine for that car, it may not be that fast, but it will purr like a kitten and go down the road in style.

Anyone who has heard a flathead v8 knows what im talking about.

VERY TRUE.....

I'm thinking an LS1 with a blower... this is a few years down the road of course.... for my mid 30's breakdown.

i do have to admit the sound of a flat head v8 is beautiful its a lot more soothing than a newer v-8 though the power is pretty low. but hey its a lead sled its just made to be cool not really to be all that fast. If i was going to swap a newer engine in though it would probably be a newer worked over turbo diesel for all that tire roasting torque!
