Pinks all out what a day!

Well Just got back from Mir,what a day. Some bad *** cars.Well by the end of the day,I was hanging out with my friend with a 66 gto when they announced the cars that would run.Everyone is waiting They said we have 14 for sure in the show but we have 10 cars to fill the remaining 2 spots they were to damn close. They announced there all high 10 second cars.We are all like oh **** its on.They call out my friends car,and 2 cars later Ernie is in.Its on now,the deal was who ever had the best reaction to Rich when he droped his hands would be in.Well to make the long story short,my boy slept, and Ernie did cut it good but I guess not good enuff. We missed out!! Damn it,But Ernie was getting better as the day went on.
I am waiting on you tube to catch up and I will post the videos.
CONGRATS Ernie, the car was looking good!

Fun day. I am beat from being in the sun. Lots of really nice cars.

I went 9.35 at 150 on the first pass. Think I might have surprised a few people.

Must say this was probably the funnest time I've ever had racing. Especially since I was the only import picked to represent. I did think I did a good job with my reaction time to Rich's hands, but in the end I suppose they wanted an all domestic showing. Im still running 30psi, but now I think I've got my launches down, Im gonna go ahead and start wicking the boost up. As you can see from my 2nd run, I launched pretty well. Shame they didn't give me a timeslip though. Car is running great! Never had this much damn fun. Next race is July 15 Battle of the Imports @ MIR. Boost is goin up baby!
Roy thanks again for everything today. I actually was lookin for ya to line me up the last race, but couldn't find ya
Len it was great to finally meet you. I'll let ya know on the output shaft this week. Don't get fustrated. It'll come around!
By the way guys, Pinks interviewed me. It was pretty cool. They asked how I felt bein the only import selected, where I was from yada, yada....Still was very cool and had a blast.
One more thing, I thought this was funny. Everybody was telling me how I was pulling the mustang in on the top end. Not too often you see that, lol....

EDIT: (Please dont delete my post, im just asking a question)

EDIT 2: (Please dont ban me cuz I put the first edit about deleting my post, again its just a question, you should be in the 9's with all that power)

I doubt they could care less whether it was an all domestic showing or not. If anything, they would probably want it to be an import vs. domestic final for the ability to build up excitement for the competition.

Your times will continue to come down, it should be interesting to see how fast you can get it to go.

Thanks, your ***** rolling out! AS for my "700" hp car. Im not running it down the track with "700" till I run 38psi and I havn't done so yet. Next race is July 15 BOTI event at MIR. I will run 38psi there and see how it does.

Yea, it was a fun day. It was very hot, and i got sunburned really damn bad lol. We left at around 3ish i guess after ernie made his second qualifying. It wasnt really what i expect, more import showing would have been alot better, since it was just the same stuff going down the track over and over.

Novi, Your car is FAST. You had to have done better on the second run, you got out of the hole much better. Very nice and very fast car.

Also, if Im running 30psi that puts me right around 600rwhp which is right in line with Anthony's times so it does make sense.

I actually heard that it slowed down on the second pass. In looking at my datalog, it is very possible since I shifted first gear way earlier as it started to spin at the top of the gear. Before I found that out, I thought it was a faster pass too.

what kind of in car boost controller do you have? I would think you could set it up so that it feeds in boost as you go down the track. Launch with less boost and get out of the hole and then hit it with the full 38psi in 3rd gear.

I was almost going to throw on a smaller blower pulley and ask if I could run an exhibition pass later in the night. I was just too tired and the thought of still having to drive the car home was enough for me to just pack up and head on out. I fell asleep almost as soon as I got home.

It really was a fun day. I think MIR and Pinks did an awesome job of keeping the event organized (at least for the parts I was there).

Bro you got the stang right?
Man talk about turning some heads. That time was a head turner! Great job
You guys remember the little white dodge pickup truck running mid 10s,total sleeper.2 more head turners were the vw bug with the v8,and the purple scooby van pulling wheelies in first and second gear.
But my favorite was the 61 falcon running 7 second passes!
