Due to a recent post in the lounge, there's a few of us thinking that a PA meet would be a good idea. We don't know a place or a date yet, but here's my idea:

I have a largish 2 bedroom apt very close to State College, PA. There should be something going on there on a saturday night.. There's also a lot of good roads around here, so we can cruise. If you guys are up for it, on the 25th (sunday) there's an autocross, so we can hang out on saturday, crash at my place on saturday night, and hit up the autocross on sunday? http://www.scca-cpr.com/Autocross.html

This should be about 2 hours away from harrisburg/carlisle or pittsburg, and about 3 from erie... Sorta central-ish...

Anyone have any other ideas?

also, if anyone wants to hit up the autocross, i'm there every weekend that they have it, and this sunday is the next one..

To bad my Fraternity fell apart, could have just rallied there... bunch of metal heads and motor heads we were anyway!!!!

 

Im in Gettysburg so Id be down, but right now my car is at PFS getting some more work done to it so it depends on whether or not ill have my car...keep us posted though cause id be up for some cruzin

how far is this in relation to harristown. i will be passing allentown going there in 2 weeks time. might even go to dorney park.

 

Harristown.. that's down near lancaster, right? Probably about 2.5 hours away, I'd guess? Allentown is probably about the same distance away.

So the date is alright with everyone? See who all can commit to it, and let's make this thing happen.

 

I would love to make it but I will be heading down to ocean City that weekend for a VW show.

I really want to get back down to State College one of these weekends. Haven't been there in about 3 years.

 

id love to go but kinda soon for me. i kinda wanna finish my project and tune to the best i can so that maybe someone else there would be able to tweak it a little better this has gotta happen!!though time is def. against us since winter is shortly on its way!

 

Well, the good news is that there will be races next year, too If we can't make something big happen this season, we'll get who we can, and we'll definately have a get together next spring sometime.. There will be lots of fun upgrades to my 7 in between now and then, too.

 

wait the 25th of sept? if I had 1 month prior notice I could have called off, maybe ill call in sick lol. Im in Allentown as well so if my car ever get my exhaust done and pass inspection then Ill be there!

what show is going on in ocean city? i also have a vw gti and would like to come but i havent herd anything about this going on.

 

If my car was actually inspected I would try to roll back up there but since that's not the case I think I'll stay down here in VA, where do you live by the way? I know around State College, I'm from Lewistown.

Awesome, i think it would be cool if anyone came! Even the V8 will be allowed, I guess.. It may turn into a Mazda gathering, as I'm sure that my friend with his Miata will be hanging out. My apt. is in Bellefonte, about 5 miles outside of St. College.

Rock on My apt is really, really easy to get to. Some directions for those coming:

My address is 104 W. Bishop St., Apt #302, Bellefonte, PA 16823. it's really easy to get to from 80, simply take the bellefonte exit, towards bellefonte. about a mile later, there's the turn into bellfonte (right), take that, go straight, you'll go past a school, and burgerking, etc, etc.. keep going straight. you'll go up a largish hill with a cemetary on the left, then start going down. At the bottom of this hill, yuo'll be at the downtown area at a light, turn left at the light, and park in front of the large buliding on your right. That's me!

Like I said, I'd love to get some rotary representation at the autocross on sunday, if anyone wants to crash at my place.. I can get an inflatable matress or two, but I'd bring your own sleeping bag/pillow.. I'm just moving into this place this weekend, so I'll barely have anything set up Plenty of room, though, two bedrooms, with only me and my iguana occupying it

 

i'd like to be a part of something like that, if it's cool to have my VR-4 there.. my fiance is at PA Tech (is that the same as State College?) in williamsport, as long as it isnt too far from there (im from VT dont really know the state too well).

 

Eh, the more the merrier Just expect to get beat on a bit for owning a DSM. I'm about an hour from penn tech... not too bad at all. Actually, that's my commute every day until I move this weekend. Bring your Fiancee if they're into that
