It's import Vs. Domestic. You would not have pair against each other. You would likely ran against Mustang or Camaro.

Hey Joey, they've got a Hybrid Modified class that you might fit in! Here's the scoop:

Dear Bryan,

Be prepared this Sunday, November 6th, for the hair-raising, heart-stirring phenomenon that brings the 'Smack' to the Track and settles the score!

Maryland Int'l Raceway is proud to host the 10th Annual World Cup Finals this Sunday, November 6th. Be here to witness the one and only event featuring the most insane Import and Domestic Street Legal Cars battling it out on the quarter mile! Who will triumph and conquer? ...And who will leave crushed and defeated? Only time, determination and brute force will tell.

The World Cup Finals is the only event of its kind featuring Quick 16 Heads-Up Shootout classes for all makes and models, matching up the Imports and Domestics to put the rivalry to the test. Watch the insanity in Super Stock, Hybrid Modified, Street Renegade, Wild Street, and Pro Outlaw as egos and attitudes are put out on the line and the tension is tight in the air.

This event also features an extraordinary Import vs. Domestic Match Race with two of the baddest 7-second 190 MPH turbocharged cars on the planet. Terris Hicks in his Outlaw 10.5" tire turbocharged "Hurricane" Cobra Mustang has officially challenged Paul Efantis with his Modified class turbocharged "MSP/Lucas Oil" Toyota Solara! These two national competitors will devour the quarter mile with their high revving, turbocharged 7-second extreme machines. All of the drama will unfold this Sunday as these two rivals bring their pride to the line!

As an added special treat, Bob Swartz will attempt to set a new world record with the World's Fastest Jet Powered Street Luge! Watch in amazement as he pilots the Street Luge powered by a REAL Jet Engine down the MIR Strip. This guy is just plain nuts! There's no telling WHAT will happen!

In addition to the racing excitement, fans and racers will also enjoy the music stylings of the Live DJ, the endless Manufacturer and Vendor Midway, plenty of food vendors, the lavish and luxurious WCF Custom Car Show (featuring so many cars you won't know where or how to begin), the PSYCHOTIC side-by-side, Tire-Blowin', Rotor Glowin' Burnout Contest (featuring 16 CARS!), and so much more!

Also be sure to check out World Cup Finals Site at www.mirdrag.com/worldcup which includes over 900 pictures from the WCF04!

Admission for Adults is $15, children 11 & under are admitted FREE! Racer Entry Fee (includes Car & Driver) is $30, and entry into the WCF Import & Domestic Custom Car Show (includes Car & Driver) is $20. The Gates, Tech Registration and Car Show Registration will all open at 10:00 am. Qualifying will begin shortly thereafter and eliminations are scheduled for 3:00 pm. Show Judging will end at 4:00 pm and the Awards will be presented on stage at 5:00 pm.

Don't miss the largest event of the season! This is your chance to be a part of history in the making. ...Import & Domestic, Old School and Late Model... the 2005 World Cup Finals on Sunday, November 6th has it all!

(ATTENTION ALL VENDORS! If you plan to set up a vendor space at the WCF05 and have not yet booked, please call the MIR Office as soon as possible (301-884-9833). Due to the tremendous turnout each year of vendors and racers on pit side, we cannot guarantee space on the pit side if you arrive and register the day of the event without prior booking).

Last set of rules I saw for that showed imports were allowed up to 6 cylinders and two power adders but no 8 cylinders, whether they are NA or not. I wish I could find specific rules. I can't say I'd be looking forward to bringing the car and having to run against the Hurricane Cobra because I run a stock LS1 instead of a twin-turbo Grand National motor

Was good to see everyone out there today. Rob went a 10.6 @ 126mph! He's got his **** togeather! Bad news is he didn't have a passenger seat so they DQ'ed him, but didn't dq me for not having a cage! Go figure. I supposed they felt sorry for me and my horrible driving skills! I had LOTS of cobwebs on my driving. First of all I spun my *** off all day and never got better than a 1.59 60' which sucks for me. My first run I short shifted 2nd gear and the car fell on its face, then I missed 4th gear! Ran a 11.1@125.
2nd run was worse! I stalled in the burnout box because they didn't spray any water down, then bogged off the line, then at the top of 3rd gear I tried speed shifting and went into reverse!!!! Not good, but got very luck and didnt damage anything.
I qualified 15th in the "quick 16" and was paired up with a 9sec. mustang.
So on to my 3rd and final run. Did a huge "Ernie T" burnout....lol...., tree'ed the mustang, but still spun my *** off with a 1.59 60' and short shifted 2nd gear again, but hit all the other gears ok. Ended up with a 10.77 @133mph, which is my best et by ..01 and best mph by 5mph. It would have probably hit 138-140mph had I not fell out of boost totally in 2nd gear. So I'd say it has a 10.40 in it, maybe better....time will tell. I have to get my suspension dialed in more, get my trailing arms and toe links on and get some new slicks and skinnies up front. Then she'll hook!
Huge props to Ray for getting my car done in time. We were at his shop till 12am Friday night on the dyno. He did a fantastic job with everything! Anyone needing anything done from mild to wild, go to PFS.

Well don't post that run...It was probably my worst ever! The 3rd run wasn't too terrible, but still has a ton of room for improvement.

LOL it was pretty bad..but something i noticed ernie, when you launched, your car ALWAYS wanted to go to the left off the line, dont know if something was up, or if it was just you. But it wasnt bad, the car is good, sounds good. Btw did the clutch slip on the last run when you had it at 30psi?
