Northeast Touge Drivers Archive
basically think we need some sort of archive to help find some of the better twisty roads in the area...
last season me and some friends all went over to the west chester, pa and surrounding areas to find some good twisties, unfortunately we didn't get to document any of the road names but I will be sure to this season, I'm definitely planning on hitting the west chester area again, maybe jim thorpe and poconos too, I'm in south jersey so unfortunately it's pretty flat and boring around here
post pictures or google map pic of the road or whatever you have, I'll be sure to post up some of my finds once I get back out there...

Yes, post some good roads please. lol.
I'm moving to Philadelphia with a friend in the fall.
I'd love to already know some roads to tear up on in the fc.

I'm pretty sure we were hitting valley creek rd. in west chester... start on the quarry side (quarry rd.) and follow valley creek till it ends which isn't too long
It's nothing to technical but has a couple cool elevation changes and two tunnels back to back that are pretty cool...
I still haven't found that one road worth hitting all night, just chill at the top then drive it all night, Initial d style ahaha
It seems like you have to go a bit further than we were going to get to the really good stuff which sucks with these gas prices, I'll be sure to post pics and more roads once I start getting back out there this season

yeah your gonna be in the same boat as me, this area is so flat it sucks. The 45 min trip is well worth it though, some of the best fun in a while just trying to find roads till like 4am, we had such a sick train going too, boosted s2k, miata, na fc, e30... I really can't wait to get back out there... just sucks I don't have my fc anymore

unfortunately for now I'm driving a welded diff s13 so I haven't ventured back out there since the welded would probably get pretty sketchy, but yeah na fc last year ripping, 2nd gear shift buzzer chasing a boosted s2k sooooo fun... grip>drift haha
but yeah man be sure to post up once you get out there and find that goldmine of a road, you have an na fc I see so your set... na is king on the mountains ahaha

Here's a pretty good site to find twisty roads in any US state:
http://www.motorcycleroads.us/
Site caters to bikers looking for good rides, rates roads in categories (i.e., twisty, sweepers, scenic, etc), provides route maps and reviews.

As the OP said though, not many roads in the NJ area that you would spend all night at though...

bear mountain NY is pretty good lots of elevation changes about 5 miles long just have to watch cuz some spots it's narrow and 18 wheelers cross the double yellow to make the turns. we should deff set up a meet one day then buzz around. if i ever get a decent camcorder and a mount ill be taking a vid..

Route 82. Which starts in Delaware, loops through pa, md and ends up back in Delaware. Very nice road, elevation changes, tight blind corners with now shoulder. Very fun to drive. been a few years since I hit it though.

My GF lives about 5 minutes from Lincoln Tech and for the life of me I can't figure out what road you would be thinking of... Most of the roads around there are built up suburban hell lol. If you go up the the NY thru-way a bit and take Old Rt 17 there are some nice roads up that way...
As the OP said though, not many roads in the NJ area that you would spend all night at though...

Ah yeah, 202 does have some real nice twisty secions. Biggest downside to that road is that it goes through a bunch of towns, and because there are so many houses/developments around there are usually a bunch of cops...
The roads up in Sussex county or over the border in NY (like old Rt 17 etc) have much less traffic.
A meet of some kind would definatly be fun, there are a ton of good roads around to explore.
