On March 7, 2010 I will be hosting a car meet at Pep Boys in Woodbridge, VA to collect clothes and bathroom products for the homeless. This will be the 3rd year I have hosted the meets and the 1st year I have made it into a charity event. I am very excited and would greatly appreciate if the RX7 community would help us out. Anyone and everyone is welcome to come and enjoy good food, great music and beautiful cars. Remember, this event is specifically to collect clothes and bathroom products for the homeless but everyone is more than welcome just to come hang out. The meet will go on from 10am-6pm and after the event all the items will be collected and we will caravan to Fredricksburg to drop off the clothes at the homeless shelter. Please let your friends and family know and try to contribute as much as possible.

Have you crossposted on other forums? You could get this pretty big if you do that. Remember the Mega-meets? Go post on VAdriven and tell them to crosspost. I'll be there in one of my cars, but I'll have to cut out early.

I have not posted this on any other forum. This is the only forum I am a member of. I'm sure one of my friends has posted it on VAdriven but i am not for certain. Thanks for the inside scoop though.

quick question- I'm assuming women's clothes too? my girl is cleaning out her closet so I think I'm going to take whatever she doesn't need too.

 

Mens, womens, and children's clothes are all welcome. We are also collecting bathroom products as well. Anything you can bring will be greatly appreciated.

I don't own a 7 anymore and only rolled here because I was feeling reminiscent. That said, I've got a load of clothes that I've been meaning to give away, so I'll throw what I have together and roll down from Silver Spring in my Cobalt SS.

Aren't you lucky!? I always work Sundays and I had to get one of the guys to cover my shift for this one. I can't wait to see everyone.

 

So everything that I could have brough was donated to Goodwill last week, my Mom is constantly cleaning everything out and donating. I wish I could contribute

 

i have work on sunday at 5pm, so ill try to head out there at 11 or so and stay for a little while. ive been meaning to get rid of some clothes, so ill try to go thru them so i can give em to you guys!

 

Where in Woodbridge is the Pep Boys? If I can make it, I'll be comming from Fburg.

Even though you have nothing to contribute you should still come over and hang out with us all. We will have a great time and I'm glad to see the clothes went to a good cause.

If you take I-95N you will get off at the Prince William Pkwy exit going toward Woodbridge. Drive maybe a mile and a half and you will run into Route 1. Take a right onto Route 1 and we are at the top of the hill on the right hand side. You can't miss it. I hope to see you there.

 

I'll be there early. I have a funeral to attend tomorrow, I'll have to leave around 11:30

 

I would like to thank everyone for coming out. We could not have asked for a better turnout and I'm very pleased with the amount of donations we acquired. Remember to keep an eye out for future events.
