I'm having trouble installing my DP and when I put my coolant in, it fills up rapidly to the top and doesn't drop that much. I flushed the system. Was wondering if anyone wanted to come here tomorrow to help me out.
Please! I'll buy you a case of beer!

New Jersey is a lucky state for rotary owners. You've got IR Performance in the north and JPR in the south. And KDR just a little ways west in eastern PA.
All 3 are quality shops. Start there.

Sorry, but I cant make it tomorrow, I am trying to troubleshoot my own car.
What problems are you having with your downpipe? Is it for twins or a single?
What type of radiator are you running? Have you tried to burp the coolant system yet?

Yes, burping the radiator will take forever to do. Get as much air out of the radiator as you can manually by squeezing all of the hoses with the radiator cap off. Once you think you have gotten it as far as it can go, start the car up for a minute or two and then turn it off. Let the motor cool off and then open the radiator cap and fill. You might have to do this a couple times and when you are finished, check your fluid levels after letting the car cool off after every drive. Since the radiator does not have a bleed valve on it, you always have to go through this long and painful procedure. When you finally upgrade to an aftermarket radiator, make sure it has a bleed valve on it as it will make your life 10x easier.

I took off the abs heat shield, looked down the engine bay, and have no idea how to remove the y-pipe in order to reach the upper bolts. If I can't figure out how to do that then I rather not try to take off the other bolts. I have the gaskets and everything minus new bolts.
You shouldn’t need new bolts as they are not torque to yield and should be re-useable. It has been a while since I have dealt with the twins but it should be a simple disassemble procedure. If you remove the intake hoses and the BOV and CRV then you should be able to get to the bolts with an extension and u-joint on a socket set. The y-pipe should not be very hard to remove if you need to go that route. There should be two bolts holding each side of the y-pipe to each turbo. Make sure you have some tape on hand to cover the openings of the turbos as you don’t want anything dropping in there. Scotch tape should be fine. IIRC, there are 4 bolts holding the downpipe onto the exhaust manifold and two connecting it to the cat/midpipe.
I will see if I have some free time on Sunday. It really depends on how much I get done tommorow on my own car. PM me will your cell number and I will text message you tommorow and let you know what the outlook is. Is there anything else you need installed? Now would probably be a good time for anything intake or exhaust related.
