NE Classifieds... DO we want this?

I think some of the other regional forums have a classified section.. anyone think this would be a good idea for us? I personally enjoy local pickup..

I thought of this a long time ago. I assume that they just want us to post it in here and not make another section for it...

I really don't like the idea. While it may capture the attention of a *few* NE buyers, there are quite a few people that just plain don't come into this section. I usually post in both areas, both the 3rd Gen FS section, and the NE section, it's easier that way... and gets more attention.

I like the idea, but usually I just post it on here anyways for the local guys and I have sold locally because of it.

I could understand that people don't frequent this section often, but still. just a small sub forum.

1) it would clear up alot of clutter form fs and wtb thread in the general section

2) it would allow NE people to buy local. i always seem to find the local guys selling stuff after it's all sold already.

I think it would be a fantastic idea, in fact, I've been asking for it. I'm up in Rhode Island, which is almost as geographically undesirable as you can get... I can't stand searching for something, finding it, then seeing it's in Cali or something.

I like the idea, selling local is a better for everyone i think. Shipping is expensive nowadays especially on big items and stuff.

I think we should go for it and see how it goes.

Why don't we have a massive FC Flea market? Just bring a uhaul trailer, tent and table and setup a market for yourself with as many parts as you've got and see what sells. Do it on a saturday morning one weekend. Just needs to be in a central location so as many people as possible can get there.

I'm all for it, it's much easier to get engine parts local so you can inspect them. I think it would promote the sale and buying of large items as well.
