Moving to Stamford, CT from Poughkeepsie, NY

Hey,

I'm relocating for a new job in Stamford, CT. I will be bringing my FD with me, and leaving my car buddies behind . I won't know anyone in town, so I'm looking to meet some new people and have a good summer now that my car is finally just about drivable (hopefully it will be done by the time I get there).

Any info about the local scene would be great.

Thanks,
-Collin

welcome to ct
We have our schedule up with some TBA spots that we will fill up. We might juggle things around, but the dates are not changing unless we have no choice.

Some things that we are looking into for this year...

!) Dyno Day
2) Rotary Swap Meet
3) Lebenon Valley Dragway Rental

If you have any constructive criticism do not hesitate to post.

We will update as soon as the news comes in so subscribe to this thread (under Thread Tools up top) so you don't miss out.

Thanks,
chiqui

Chud, welcome to town. We have a few guys around here and meet up time to time. Stamford is usually the meeting point for trips to meets in the city and up Bear Mountain. PM me if you want to hang.

Our first meet will be at Nutmeg Bowl. You do not need to bring your rotary as most of us still have our cars in the final phases of completion and will not be ready.

Everyone is invited This is an opportunity to get to know each other more, brainstorm up coming and future events.

Please respond to this thread so we can make the appropriate reservations.

Price:
Two games and two shoes for $10 a person. They have food and beer.

Directions:

From I-95 North bound - take exit 24 - at the end of the ramp take a left - go under I-95 and bear right onto Kings Hwy. Nutmeg Bowl is approx. one mile on your left - at the junction of Kings Hwy & Villa Avenue.

From I-95 South bound - take exit 24 - at the end of the ramp take a right - at the next light take another right onto Kings Hwy - Nutmeg Bowl is approx. 3/4 of a mile on your left - at the junction of Kings Hwy & Villa Avenue
