anything lately for the rotary scene on the island?

yea i looked at that i meant closer like Suffolk county theres a lot of people willing to meet up and the normal spots (route 101 stop and shop etc) flooded with cops and tow trucks =/

 

I will never go to route 101 again, ive heard many stores about how reckless they are. Plus you have people drifting and riding atv's around, its a war zone.

theres a meet in suffolk county on wednesdays. In islandia right next to Dave & Busters on vets highway. you should check it out. mostly 8's though. starts about 9ish.

The import scene at bald hill goes up and down. Ive only seen 3 other rx7's there before.

Iv'e never been to the one by dave and busters, maybe i will check it one day.

 

guy who works with me says its ALOT of imports, maybe there are different nights?

Anyhow who cares if there are muscle cars there? You guys scared of them or something?

You asked for nights so Im giving some ideas.

If you guys want to keep meeting up with the same group of cars in different spots thats cool, me I like some variety and as long as everyone who goes is respectfull to each other and enjoys the cars who cares what nameplate thier car is?

 

yea but thats the problem theres no rotary meets on this side of the island and if you go alone oh man prepare to get owned by a bunch of non rotary junkies who think that all rx7s do is drive slow and eat gas, frankly i dont care what people say i been to those meets and the only good one i been to is the one on portion rd where compare foods is round 9 the day varys but theres mad cool people there with a good group of cars just need more rx's there you should go to one people there act respect rx7s and the awsome power they make. just the night changes a lot and you have to be updated.

medford member i had your old turbo II the red one, i seen you car at chuchs bbq ways back, and what you just said is my point thats what a meets all about thats what we need more of.

 

to drive to tomoroww nights meet in Flushing will take you like 30 minutes, there will be at least 20-30 cars there, its literally RIGHT off the highway.

Sat they have that new thing on Hemp. tpke, again its RIGHT near the meadowbrook and the wantagh so you can take all highways there, thats not such a bad ride on a saturday night.

If you want to try to start up a suffolk thing go ahead, you may get a week or so with a light turnout, but after that it should pick up.

btw- my car has changed since the BBQ

 

I never had any problems with other enthusiasts specially the older crowd they are very knowledgeable people. from my experience its the younger guys that make things difficult.The only reason i rather stick with the rotary guys is because i have yet to meet a rotary dick head.Most rotary guys are good people and instead racing and making rokus(spell check) they tend to enjoy and appreciate their machines. They don't just bolt up a pepboys fart can and wake up the neighborhood.<~~~~~~~~~ I take that back,I have heard some loud *** rx7s, just ask fiz-e LOL you can hear him coming from 2 Miles away.

yea its the younger crowd always is the older crowd has a lot of respect because they usually been through it them selves its the younger kids that have no respect lol but ill take a rotary meet over a regular meet always thats why i made this so hopefully more meets could come up insted of people just making new threads.
