I have an RX7 3rd R 1 package with 88,000 miles and after the car warms up there appears to be oil burning off and not coolant. Mechanic I go to do not want to get involved. Does anyone know of a shop in Westchester , or Putnam who will work on this. I think its either a hose or gasket

 

There are not many generral mechanics that know how to work on rotaries, including dealerships. That's why you need to learn your own car and why this forum is invaluable.

You may want to try IR Performance in NJ. They maybe able to help you or refer you to simeone closer.

As for "oil burning off" are you losing oil level (rotaries burn oil), or is smoke coming from your engine comparment (which could be a gasket or oil line)
