The camera phone doesn't do it justice. I'll have to borrow a real camera and take some good pics.

thats a quick drive for me, but for most people, specially in this thread, its a good hour to two hours drive.

on another note, do you own a black FD? i saw one pulled over on exit 44 on 91N a couple months ago

My last one was clean, but this one is super clean! I can't wait to make it as fast as it looks. The motor is in rough shape and the more things I fix, the slower it gets. There was a loose intercooler hose and a couple cracks in a pipe. I tightened up everything and drove it around and it fell on its face. Time for an all out build with some big ports, higher compression, and a 6spd.

your last one was in fact very clean; i can only imagine how clean this one's going to be. she sure does look fast, so you should do something to back those looks up. worse case scenario, ill gladly take those looks off your hands, if you need to . let me know if you need a hand sometime or when you wanna bring it to the track. im hoping to do a track day at Lime Rock in November with NASA. id love some company if you get your car ready.

wait a second, did i hear 6 speed dog box ? you have my undivided attention. good luck with the project. you have a great knack for finding really great toys. speaking of great toys; hows the RS-Ti build going?

No 6spd dog box. Just a regular synchro T-56 6spd. The same one I had in my last RX7.

The RSTi is built and its been out on the track a few times already this year. We did NHIS, Watkins Glen, Calabogie, and Mt. Tremblant with it. Paddy and I are hoping to do another NHIS test day and then Limerock with COM in November to wrap up the season. We had plans to go to VIR, but neither of us can afford that kind of trip right now. It was going to cost us over $1000 in fuel alone.

This is Paddy haulin *** down the front straight at Mt. Tremblant:

The Suby is great for the track. Very quick, very reliable, and really fun. A little run down on what it has:

Chassis:
'99 Impreza 2.5RS
Tein Flex coilovers
STi sway bars
STi alum. control arms
Stoptech 328x28mm BBK (>Brembo)
STi rear Brembos
STi BBS wheels
235/40/17 Toyo RA1s

Drivetrain:
'04 STi motor
BPM 3" Turboback
DSG fuelcut reflash
Spec 6 puck clutch
'04 2.5TS 5spd (3.90 FD)
'04 STi rear diff (3.90 FD)

Saftey:
Autopower 6pt cage
Recaro SPG & SPG Pro Racer
Sparco 6pt harnesses
Sparco suede steering wheel

Est weight 2800lbs
Est HP 325

As for getting a T56 in an FD, thats easy. You just need to have the right engine to bolt it to.

uh oh, i get the sense of a V8 put under the hood of an FD :P

thats an awesome Subie by the way

theres a kid here in CT with a 1998 Subaru RS Wagon with an RHD conversion and a stock STi swap. Fast as hell, nearly blew my FD off the road

At the moment my DD is a 1997 Subaru Legacy GT with plans for an STi Swap :P

The Legacy GT is a beautiful car.

My last FD was an R1 with an LS1. It was awesome. Crazy fast. This one is getting an LS2 with a mild cam or a head/cam LS1. Real pics are on their way. I spent the day detailing it, even though it didn't really need it.

yep he did it! xD

sounds like a good project. not a HUGE fan of the V8's in RX-7's but they're alright. got a friend in Tenneessee with an FD with an LS1. Nice car but still, V8's arent my taste unless its a 426 Hemi powering a 1968 Hemi Cuda :P

Maybe we can try to map out an event or two for the season. I would like to throw together another Kancamagus Rotary Run with some help.
