I should be able to go there with my 85 GS, just have to fix my leaky oil metering pump and replace the last heater hose that goes from the core to under the oil cooler. I should have that done next weekend.

I found out from my friend Sarah (heavily involved in the Subaru commnunity and she sets up meets all the time) this past weekend that Blackstone Shopping Plaza management is no longer allowing car meets due to a change with their insurance policy.

There is a parking lot right off of 146 and the Mass Pike between Auburn and Millbury that might work as a meeting spot to start and hang out: Proposed starting point

The bad news is that this spot is literally next to a sewage plant. If this is an issue for some I can pick a different spot.

We can start here, hang out and wait for everyone for a bit, then head over to Blackstone Plaza to eat if that's what everyone wants.

Would anyone be up for a little cruise as well? Maybe an hour round trip around the Blackstone area?
Not to sound like a boring old man, but I only set up safe, civilized cruises. That is no speeding or wreckless driving. We all know we have fast cars; no need to prove it.
Plus we wouldn't want to end up on the news like the WaterFest crew did a few years back.

I haven't posted this anywhere else yet; I figued I would wait until we get the details ironed out.

Solids:
Sunday
May 8th
2:00 PM

To be determined:
Meeting spot
Itinerary (food, cruise, etc.)

On a side note, my FD isn't ready to come out of hibernation just yet.
I will be in my daily driven gray Audi TT.
Not nearly as much fun, but worth taking something to meet up with everyone.

Here is a list of restaurants in the plaza:

Blackstone Plaza Restaurants

If none of those look good, Worcester has a lot of great restaurants as well.

Should we meet at the above proposed meeting spot at 2:00?

I would recommend this meeting spot. It is about 2 minutes from the Blackstone Plaza, and right off of 146, 290, and the Mass Pike.

I would say get there for 2:00, hang out for as long as we all want, then head over to the Plaza for food.

Sounds good, and I should have the FB on the road, just did the road test yesterday and checked all the lights. Feels nice to have her back alive with the new rear in. The 8 is parked for a bit while she waits for a proper tune and a few other tid-bits.

Just starting a list to get a feel for who is 100% in:

rx7tt4-life (FD)
OtakuRX (FB)
ZumspdRX-7 (Audi TT - )

There is a lot of interest througout this thread; add yourself to the list and we will know to wait for you before getting lunch.

Mike (Otaku)- on a side note, did you ever see the shots I got from the photoshoot we did last fall with Mike M. after the RI cruise with Dennis? You in for something like that again? Just driving aimlessly around RI. I understand its a time commitment coming from where you are, so I can put you and your GF up for the night if need be. Either way it was a lot of fun, something worth putting together again. You in for another Kancamagus Rotary Run? You know the area better than I do, so I'd appreciate your input if you would be up for it.

I got my mom's place in Tiverton to stay at and of course I'm down for some cruisin'. The 7 ain't quite the beauty the 8 is but she looks good for 28 years old and is way less bitchy lol. I'll also have the camera equipment along to get some pictures through the day as well.

I may also see if my buddy who has a 94 (sadly also not on the road) and his girl (who has a 79 also not on the road atm) will want to join, they'll prob be in his RSX if they are open to join.

I am pretty sure I will be there as long as the weather cooperates. I have my FB 85 GS which is running pretty well, besides my Oil metering pump leak. It would be nice to see other rotary vehicles which is a rare site up here in NH. I have driven the Kangamangus a few times with my RX and its fun, especially when you start in conway and head over to Lincoln. I love climbing that twisty mountain road.

Oh I know, if the weather is decent I'm thinking of taking a drive north soon in the FB, it's been a very long time since she's been far from home. That's mostly because I was driving the 8 as my daily driver, but now I got a Jeep for that.

If your OMP is leaking I'd recommend that you be running a premix in the fuel. I premix the FB even with the OMP working fine since there is no way of telling if it is flowing correctly.

We should do a cruise up north on the Kangamangus this summer. Theres a good loop route if you go down 101 then up 125 to Spaulding turnpike. Then you head north to Conway and get on the Kangamangus to Lincoln, then back down 93. Another good run is Going up 93 past Franconia, then up route 3. Then you loop down through Crawford Notch, to Conway, and then loop over the Kanagamangus and back down 93. I do run premix in mine. I get big jugs of 2 cycle from Walmart and keep a small 16 ounce bottle to use at the pump. I usually put about 8 ounces every other fillup. I fill it up then let it run to half tank and fill it up again. So every other is like doing a whole tank full.

Another fun city ride is to drive down to Boston and get off 93 down to Storrow Drive. Drive Storrow drive around to Brighton, then you cross the Charles and head back to Memorial drive by the Galleria Mall in Cambridge. You can do laps by going past the Museum of science and doing it again. Just have to watch for the occasional Statie that sits on memorial drive near the Longfellow bridge. That run is fun with lots of curves and duck under over passes. Best time to do it is at night when there is no traffic.

Everyone / anyone still interested?

Should we push this meet back to gain more interest?

I'll be in the area tomorrow, so I can be in either way. I just want to know who else is definitely going.

I am not getting any feedback on today, but I will be at the meeting spot for 2:00.

I'll look for RX-7s; look for the gray Audi TT if you are in something other than rotary power.
