Unfortunately I threw away the sweet 80s style louvers that were on the car. I think half the reason I bought the car was to liberate it from those awfull things glued and screwed to the poor hatch. (no offense to anyone who has those) I thought the car looked better without them

Anybody here need a manual rack before I throw it out to the wolves? PM me! I got two messed up screws stopping me from taking the fuel pump out, any ideas on how to take 'em out? Feel free to come by and lend a hand, it's the yard where the screamin' and cussin' is coming from!

louvers are the ULTIMATE in 80's sports car. You havn't taken the highway to the danger zone unless you've owned a car with louvers.

****, if you're just going to toss it out I'll take it.

those screws suck. you'll have to drill them and if it's the tank screws they are machine thread so you'll likely have to re-tap them or try to use a sheet metal screw.

Alternatively you could try an Easy out on it if you havn't absolutely destroyed it.

It's those little ******'s that hold the pump in. Not tossin' the rack, but it's so cheap you'll think ya stole it! Mike, come get these screws out and pick up all your goodies at the same time! Hey do you have a s5 counterweight up there?

I have a special tool for those screws. it's a screwdriver that you hit it with a hammer and it turns at the same time as pressing down.

Never failed me, and I've removed A LOT of RX-7 fuel pumps

you can borrow it if you want

I know I have one, but you would have to be able to find it, then identify whether its S5 or S4, cuz both are floating around in that van

These are pretty messed up from the PO letting somebody mess with it. I just opened it up today and found this mess. I've got one of those tools too, but they are beyond that. I guess I'll break out the drill and get busy! I'm gettin' too old for this!

QFT!

I replaced 20 feet of brake line last summer using my Leatherman tool and my teeth.

35% is legal in Maryland which kind of sucks... and the numbers are how much light gets in, so 20% is darker than 50%

20% or 25% is pretty much normal for dark tint.

I have gotten pulled over with 20% on my black t2 but he gave me a warning since i wasnt doing anything and a warning for my front plate which md should not have anyway. I just drive with the windows down in the summer to avoid cops.

I just avoid driving like an *******. More or less every vehicle I've owned has had tinted windows and I've never had a problem with cops. I've worried about it, but worst case scenario you'll get a ticket and you'll have to take the tint off. No big deal, it's worth it to have the protection from the sun on the interior and my eyes, as well as it looks a LOT better.

Frederick County's State Police Barracks has been pulling over people left and right over tinting (found out today firsthand). It's just one more chance for a cop to notice something else about your driving.

I added them up and this is actually the 89th vehicle I've owned. There's a first time for everything, and maybe this is the one that will get me nabbed for tinted windows.

As long as the cop doesn't say something retarded like "Your tints be illegal mofucka" I will gladly take the tint off and have the police dept sign off on it

I havn't seen them caring so much closer to where we live. But I know the DC metro area in general has been cracking down. The part that I find rediculous is they can ticket you regardless of if you've got a legal or factory tint. Its on you to prove that the tint is legal by having the MSP use the tester on it in glen burnie.
