Madison County, VA judges? How lenient are they?
78 in a 60 on Rt. 29 south of Culpepper, VA. 11PM in the middle of nowhere on a two lane (each direction) divided rural highway... I don't recall the speedo hitting 80... 70 maybe, but not 80. (At least not on that leg of the trip.)
Car is registered to my mother, so I'm not it's primary driver.
Honda Civic has an electronic speedometer with a speed sensor in the transmission. Being that my transmission is on it's last leg (Driven very low on oil, taught several people how to drive stick in it, theres a C clip from a bad axle floating around in it somewhere.), that sensor is not in great shape. I assumed I'd replace the sensor when/if I got another tranny.
Wondering if anyone knows the area and if I'm likely to get off if I bring in the old sensor, and a receipt for a replacement.
According to the Trooper that pulled me over, a local officer also got me a few miles back for 80 as well but never took me.
