Question Looking to get a paint job in Northern VA

Guys -

I've looked over the forum and haven't seen anything... Can anyone recommend a place that I can get a good paint job done on my FD (in Northern Virginia).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

i had my spoiler installed and painted with them and their work is top notch. don't be fooled by the office though. they also repaint entire cars and are very through. they take everything apart.

vadriven.com is a local VA forum, might want to search in the vendor reviews section there.

Thanks for the info. I've heard good things about mrspoiler before... I haven't heard of vadriven.com though - I'll have to check it out.

Has anyone used Mrspoiler or any other place for a full paint job before?

I've also heard good things about Mr. Spoiler but never used them myself.

VADriven was set-up after DRAGVA got taken down from my understanding.

Here is a picture of my car and the paint job that Dan at Mr. Spoiler did for me. It is a tri-coat poly with two coats clear. Car was prepped by hand, completely taken apart, wet sanded multiple times. It took Dan several months and it cost a pretty penny but what a paint job.

Paint job looks excellent... How much did it cost (if you don't mind posting)?

And is several months a typical wait for a good paint job? I've never had a car painted before... I guess I sort of thought it would take about a week or so. But like I said, I'm a FD painting newbie. ;-)

Thumbs up

Mr. Spoiler is a smaller shop and because of that there is alot of attention to details which is why his shop is a premium $$$, but well worth the money...on his website you can also see Ramy's (FDNewbie) car up top, the lambo door black FD, and that paint job is prob in the $7,000-10,000 range...

Max_Spd was right. It cost right around 10 Gs. I saved up for quite a while to do this. I really like what Dan and his team did over there. I have recieved many compliments on this paint job.

They left no detail untouched. We changed out the windshield, all of the weather stripping, you name it.

I highly recommend Dan and Mr. Spoiler for FDs, He knows how to take them apart, how to prep them, how to paint them and most importantly how to put them together again.

Hmmm... Mr. Spoiler may be out of my league. ;-)

What if I had about 3-4k to spend? Does Mr. Spoiler have different levels of paint jobs? Or should I be looking somewhere else?

Exclamation

My suggestion to you is that you stop by Mr. Spoiler and talk to him about $$$ and options that he can do with your budget!!!
