I need to get a couple estimates. Looking for a place that does undetectable work. Car only has 3500 miles on it goddamn it.

An illegal alien backed out into the street and right into my wife in the xterra. I got to watch him get arrested and taken to jail, which made me feel alot better after his brothers called my wife a liar.

He had:

No license
No insurance
No greencard
And someone in his family (their story kept changing here) hid the car before the cops showed up.

My wife was lucky enough to use her camera phone and get the license plate and so-forth. Once the cops realized they couldn't find the car, they declared it a hit and run. Oh, and he wouldn't speak english to my wife, but when the officer said "If you can't speak english and tell me where you live, I'm taking you to jail right now" he managed to learn the entire english language in under a second. Then he went to jail anyway.

As an aside, I have to say, the lady detective that was investigating the hispanic familys story, was pretty goddamn racist towards them. I actually felt bad for the guy cause she wasn't cutting him any slack at all, but when the rest of his family started getting nasty towards my wife, I didn't feel so bad. The guy that was driving the car that hit my wife, HIS wife was trying to get my wife to not call the cops so they could play it off like she was driving. She was stonewalling my wife with the insurance information too, claiming she couldn't speak english very well which is why I made her call the police.

So Putty hill Autobody quoted me 1835.45 to fix it. Blegh. I filed a claim against their insurance policy (in md the insurance follows the car.) So hopefully I don't have to pay the deductable and I'll get a rental car.

 

So much for undetectible. Its all over the vehicle report now.

 

So I'm supposed to pay outta pocket? This is for my sake, not to scam someone buying the car.
