So i been trying to rebuild my 12a for sometime now. My porting is done and ready to go back together. But i need one more thing done before i can start to assemble, the rotor and stat bearings. I have new oem mazda bearings that need to be pressed in. I had a shop press out the shot bearings but by the looks of there work i do not trust them putting in my new bearings.(this is not a rotary shop) So i called T&R and they quoted me $200! to just press in new ones. They said they didnt have the tool required and would cost us more since they would have to order the tool. One thing i dont get is its a rotary shop.....im sure thy replace bearings. So i kind of laughed at them and dont want to hear from them again. Is there anyone on long island that can press in my bearings or even another shop that can do this but for slighty cheaper? Im basicaly at a loss, i dont wanna have to pay $200 just to have new bearings pressed in. ANY help would be great.......as long as your not a jerk. Also if there is a shop in NYC im totally willing to head out there.......besides t&r. - Nick
