Knowledgeable FD owners help plz
ok so yesterday i got my hks rs intake.
I couldnt wait to install it. today i get home from school and decide to put it in. everythings going smoothly untill i get to one rubber hose that is connected from the crv to the airbox. it gets off the airbox fine, but when i go to take the hose off the crv its stuck. i try and try and the thing wont move. after a while i get so pissed that i pull hard, bad idea, i hear a pop sound and the hose that connects the crv to the turbos has snapped in half. so now i have about a .5 - 1 inch section of hose stuck to the turbo, and it wont budge. if anyone who is located in the Northern Virginia area would be willing to come help me out i would appreciate it. please pm me if you would like to help a noob in distress. thank you

I agree with 1wide7, you just neet to use a razor blade (or some type of utilitiy knife) to put a slit in the hose. The hose should pry off once you cut it.
I would then call Ray at Malloy (don't have his number with me) to see how much it costs. If he has it in stock, it is only about 30 minutes from you (Woodbridge, VA).
Yes, the FD is frustrating at times, but it is fun to drive...
Good luck

For the future, twist the hose until it breaks free and then pull it off. Its also a lot easier working on cars if you have a lot of good tools. I suggest you get a pair of bent nose pliers from Snap-on.] They work great on just about everything including small hoses. There is also a special hose removal plier. As well as a hose hook set.
