I just moved to South Windsor, I wasnt able to bring the 7 with me as we all know the "R" in rx-7 doesnt stand for reliability.

I was wondering what the 7 scene was around these parts. Let me know if there is any goings on in town, I would love to come hang and share my love for the 7's

most of the action is down south, Bridgeport and stuff.

Hey Matt.I'm recently from S.Windsor.I lived right next to S.Windsor High but know I'm back home in Bpt.They're aren't to many Mazda heads in S. windsor but are a few in Hartford.Unfortunately I've not meet any of them yet but plan to this year as are club hopefully will be doing a meet up there this year.You're more than welcome to comeout and meet the guys and hangout when we do head out there.If you want you can also come down to any other of our meets as soon as the season starts.

I was out last night working repo with my uncle and saw 2 white FC's

One was a stock white N/A, other one was a Vert with a fat wing on the back.

I think one was in middletown and the other was in hartford, but im not sure.

Do you happen to have a blue rx2 or rx3?

 

I have a rx2,rx3,and rx7 first gen.The blue rx2 belongs to my boy Louis but thats not the only one in the club.We have a few r100,rx2,rx3,rx7 first gen and repu's in the club.You can see them at the club website vintagemazda.com.

 

Is it a mint light blue one? I almost crashed on the Merrit Parkway when i saw one near exit 46 47 south.

I was doing like 70 in the left lane when i almost passed it but i hit my brakes and slowed down to get a better look, i'm sure the driver was like "Whos this schmuck?"

 

ooo haha maybe that was my white FC im from west hartford, bout 15 mins away from south windsor.

 

There's actually two blue rx2's in the club.If it was a young guy it was Louis if it was an older guy it was Gus.Louis rx2 is more of a green/blue and Gus is originally light blue.Both are in mint condition and run great.

 

I will be at the next vintage meet for sure!!! I would kill to see some of those classics.

sadly I dont have my 7 with me, but I think I will try to pick up a beater FB. We will see.

 

This looked like an older spanish guy. it was light blue and mint as hell, i pulled up next to him in my e36, i think i may have gave a thumbs up.

He also owns the green rx3 that was on My Classic Car.

 

Very nice, he on the forum? he was smiling and laughing it looked like. Probably thought i was trying to race him.

I wanted to throw up the rotor symbol but i would have went in the guard rail.

 

Yes he is on the VMRC forum.You can see pics of last years show where he took best of show for the green rx3 and The VMRC members took home 11 trophies in total for the club.

 

Welcome to South Windsor. Here's a pic of my dad's yellow Esprit, my brother's orange and my 7. They're all hibernating for the winter, but you'll see us around town come spring time. We'll defintely have to link up.

Hey Saner your 3 Gen looks like it could take either Lotus. Ever race any of them? I'd like to be there when it goes down.

 

I definitely wouldn't be able to take the yellow one (my fathers). He upgraded the turbos, customized a water/air intercooler system, upgraded the ECU, upgraded transmission (they were notorious for breaking 2nd gear, which he did), alky injection, custom full exhaust and added a Quaife LSD. It weighs something like 2700lbs and change. He put down 401 @ only 10psi. The orange one (my brother's) is stock, so that's more evenly matched.

 

I live in manchester and see that yellow lotus everywhere I go in the summer time. what a nice car. Ive seen your black FD a few times driving down 83. Theres a few of us out here. Theres a yellow cym that goes to the car meet at vernon golf land every saturday night, or friday night in the summer time. I just got an FD on the road last summer so youll see that driving around this year as well. It might be out a little less since i now have time to finish my rx3 though. if your lookin for another rx7 I got an FC in forsale in the classifieds section. Hope to see you driving around.
