IRP's New Shop

We have just moved into out new location. New shop is in Metuchen NJ slightly off or RT 1. We spent today cleaning and moving in our tools and supplies. Next will be some better organization and a lift or two. We look forward to being able to provide even better service and faster turnaround time.

Nor sure what that means, but I do plan to paint the walls inside. Trying to decide on the color.

If you're ever looking for a good standing employee let me know asap. Hopefully you've already seen I'm a pretty good guy, and as for mechanical ability I'm right now 2 courses from Master Mazda Tech now, but i prefer fabricate and aftermarket to working on new cars.

Seriously.

on another note, dyno'd the fd not too long ago. tuner said the engine sounds awesome, ran into the typical ignition breakup so waiting on new coils, coil harness and twin power to show up. Then gonna throw some methanol into the mix, and try to reach the fuel limit and see what numbers show up.

Kevin.

I just meant it as some paint on the walls will brighten the place up, make it look cleaner

when its winter and the doors are closed or at night you will like the brighter work area

Kevin, if I ever need someone I will keep you in mind. At the moment we are good. Plus I would not be able to match the benefits the dealership can. Before you dump a ton of money into your ignition system, test your coils. The resistance spec is in the Mazda manual. I have had good results just with some strong stock coils and NGK 10.5 race plugs. Otherwise a twin power should be adequate. Let me know how it turns out.

Definitely going to paint the walls soon. Just trying to take care of a few other things first such as find a lift and fix couple lights. Need to decide what color too. I'm thinking Gray with maybe some red or blue. Something that won't show a huge smudge the second someone leans on a wall with dirty hands. That being said, we are set up enough to be back in full operation.

make sure its a light gray, its easy to clean the walls.
Dark walls dont reflect well.

If you look into new lighting the power companies give really nice rebates on energy efficient fixtures, with the rebates sometimes it costs less then trying to make old fixtures work.
I put new doors with windows in them and 20 new fixtures in my shop, the power company had a check made out to me personally within 2 weeks for $1600.

Doors with windows might not be good for you so people cant see in when your not there, but my yard is fenced, alarmed, and guard dogged.

So about this "wall painting party", that may be doable. What if I provide food and drinks for a few guys interested in helping? I have a strict policy not to drink on the job but since this is not car work I can make an exception.
