NY I'm in need of a rotary rebuilder in nyc

Hey just if anyone knows of any shops in the nyc area that can rebuid my 12a engine. I tried Tand R racing but they suggest that I swap it for a 13B turbo and will they would not be able to rebuild a 12A and Smokin Joe racing has shut down so I need to find some other place that can do this kind of work.I hope some one can help me out.

THANKS.

Pm rotary experiment seven and see if he will rebuild it. IRP rebuilt my 3rd gen and did a awesome job and are good guys. Not sure if they will mess with the 12a though, but it dont hurt to ask.

I am not trying to trash on Tony because he has done a nice job installing my tranny and racing beat carb kit but the fact and the matter is that every time I brought up the rebuilding my 12a question he kept bringing up the 13B turbo setup which I do not want. So bottom line he did not out right refuse to do the work and I can say that Tony is one of the coolest rotary mechanic that I have met and he does great work.

I spoke to Tony about it (not mentioning you) and he does not mind rebuilding a 12A's at all but due to the mileage and age of the motor etc it most likely need new housings. By the time you factor in the parts that are needed, it can add up to the same as a FD motor job. He says he feels bad because he thinks of the overall cost for the customer and what the return is on the money they invest, that's why he recommends going with a T2 setup since you get the best bang for your buck.

He also stated that if you want more power out of a 12a, most guys want to go with bridge ports etc and for the noise and mileage and high idle etc he advises it's better to go with a stock T2 setup in a 1st gen, nice idle, decent power. But he did say if you want the 12A rebuilt, by all means call him and he has no issues doing it at all. I told him sometimes he needs to stop thinking speed and just do what the customer wants, he agreed. Give him a call or PM me your number and I'll have him call you.

Anthony

Tony does a great job.. He rebuild My FD motor... I love how my motor came out and I feel more power than before..I always go to TNR for issue or just to hang out and crack jokes...On what Anthony stated aboe. I think doing a TII swap into a first gen is great idea, you get the power and also might be the same price rebuilding your motor.... Just think about it, TII or a 12A rebuild...I would go with the upgrade trust me in the long run you will be glad that you did the upgrade.. Good luck

+2 for TnR as well. Tony has been nothing but helpful with my car since I bought it. I can't wait to get tuned. Since I bought my car it's been sitting waiting for parts...I hate vendors.

We can rebuilt it as long as you can find some good housings. With the age you will most likely need them.

I want to thank all the ROTOR HEADS that tried to help me out and I have to say that the rotarie community is the tightest nation wide if not world. Anyway I have a younger Brother that has come from P.R. and he is working at a shop in Meridan CT. and he is going to do the rebuild. So thanks again to all .
