I Hate the NJTP and hufe F'ing Potholes...

So i was driving to school (NJIT) the other day on the New jersey Turnpike and i decided it was a good idea to ride the shoulder in traffic for a hundred feet or so to get to my exit just ahead. Well pretty much the worst idea i have ever had. I'm going about 25-30mph and out of nowhere a huge pot hole the size of a kiddie pool jumps out in front of me. Both pass. side tires take the dive. OMG! My dash vents popped out and my head unit hasn't worked right since. Oh ya and my pass. headlight light blew out. The worst part. Now my steering wheel is turned so that when im going straight the top center of the wheel is at about 2 O'clock. So what did i break? Also when i hit the brakes hard at highway speeds my car pulls hard to the right. Could it be that i just need an allignment or is my car f'ed. Man i hate roads in NJ. They are the worst.

HaHa!! Welcome to my world.

But seriously, if your steering wheel is at 2' o'clock you probably need a wheel alignment.

I jump on there from the Goethals to exit 9 (Englishtown) and never ever saw a pothole! I even take it further down to Exit 4 (Atco) and never saw one that way either.

I agree with Torean and Stinky, wheel alignment. Check for bent wheels

Turnpike 13 and up is the worst.

I remember going to etown and i was the only one going 30mph cause the roads were fucked up. The other idiots on the road were going by at 70mph just ruining their car.

ya i agree sub 9 or 10 and its ok but above say 11 or 12 and it is a complete wreck. It also didn't help that i was in the shoulder going 30mph.

n/a-luvr: would a bent tie rod cause my car to pull to the right under hard braking?

I'm gonna go with bent tie rod and/or bent lower control arm ball joint.

You need to take your wheel off and inspect that puppy!
