High-Speed Drivers’ Education - September 9-10

The Shenandoah Circuit at Summit Point Motorsports Park features an incredible 20+ turns with significant elevation changes, a dimensional replica of Der Nurburgring at 20 deg banking, negative camber changes incorporated with decreasing radius corners positioned on vertical drops. A technical track that is a blast to drive, especially if it’s your first time out. Participants that have driven the Shenandoah Circuit have enjoyed themselves immensely, literally a roller coaster road course. For experienced drivers and those wanting a challenge; the Shenandoah is a track that will take years to master. An excellent track for fine tuning your trail braking skills.

MazdaDriverS.com events feature:
-- Two-day High-Speed Drivers Education (Saturday & Sunday)
-- Drive your own vehicle at speed in a safe controlled environment
-- High-Caliber Instructors assigned to students for on-course sessions
-- Professional Classroom instruction
-- Run groups and Classroom sessions tailored to experience levels
-- Eight 26 minute sessions for the weekend
-- Skid Pad instruction/sessions
-- Most students qualify for solo driving after demonstrating basic safety skills and appropriate on-course behavior
-- Registration is available for both Mazda and non-Mazda vehicle owners

Photos, videos of MazdaDriverS participants enjoying themselves at past events are online. Registration is ongoing for the September event. Typically, the events sell out in advance. Visit

www.MazdaDriverS.com for details and online registration.

I was an instructor at this event last year. It was my first time running this track, and my impressions are that Shenandoah is the most challenging and most fun driving track I have ever run. I have run most of the tracks from Road Atlanta to Watkins Glen, and it is my favorite for High Performance Drivers Eduction type events. It may be a tough track for wheel to wheel racing (read passing in racing conditions might be tough), but it is great for the personal challenge and just plain fun of an HPDE event.

MDA puts on GREAT! events too.

Sorry, structural rollbars with rearward bracing is required. I believe you are referencing the stock RX-7 Vert hardtop which does not meet structural requirements.

This is MazdaDriverS.com least expensive event of the year and offers the most behind the wheel track time with eight 26-27 minute sessions scheduled for each run group over the weekend. 212 minutes in total per run group.

In addition, we are offering Skid Pad training between your track sessions. Between the 3.5 hours of track time and skid pad sessions this is our best bang for the buck. The Shenandoah is $300 for the weekend and our group hotel rate is $55/night (+ tax).

On-line Registration and more details at www.MazdaDriverS.com
