Idea..Post an AD in your Local paper..LOOKING FOR Parts(like specific Parts)..that were ON your car..that way if you get a hit, contact the Police...It's a Little far fetched ,But hey.who said Crooks were SMART?

Still no word from the police. I have also passed out fliers to my neighbors to no avail. If anyone has any information, or sees a deal that is too good to be true for a blue 1990 vert, please let me know! Thanks!

What part of b-more you at? i'm mainly in the whitemarsh/ perryhall/ rosedale/ cedonia areas just about 5 times out of the week.. so i'll petrol these areas.. any significant features that you have to distinguish this car from any others?
I am in South West Bmore.
The car had silver pop up headlight covers, a short stubby antenna, and a Jesus fish emblem on the trunk hatch. Other then that the front fenders were a little banged up, and the passenger door interior is missing. The hood is painted light blue, but was silver underneath. There is a rather large portion of it that is missing paint. It looks like a silver heart. It has a manual 5 speed transmission.

The VIN number is

JM1FC352XL0710136

Sorry, I figured since it was sitting there for a long time, nobody would miss it. Besides, you know hard it is to find parts in that color blue to match my vert?

Just kidding, hope ya find your baby, watch the stealer bay for parts...

Unfortunately, it seems that law enforcement ignores 'older' cars getting towed. Alot of illegal tow operators will 'steal' an older car and sell it for recycle / scrap dealers. They pay x amount per pound for the car, and the catalytic converter (old platinum ones) is worth about 200 bucks. Crazy Rays, or the other junkyards may have it and if they do it is probably crushed

very sorry to here, Its a terrible thing to endure
I am in north west balt. I will still look for it.
there are hardy any 7's around this part so it will stand out like a sore thumb.
I have had trouble with vandals coming and breaking windshield with a punch

for the next time walmart sells a nice outside wireless day/night camera you can hook up to an old tv or slow play vcr.it works pretty good.

I’m very sorry to read about your loss.

As I'm from Luxembourg in Europe, I cannot keep an eye on your stolen car, as many others here.

But as we have the same problems with foreign gangs, they only visit our country to steal our cars a break our houses, I can feel with you.

I’m so sorry man.
Hope you find the gangsters and kick their f…ing aces.

Not possible here in VA... When I pull a car in for scrap, if it's indeed a whole car body, they get the VIN off of it, they get my tow truck's tags, they take my driver's license number and my address, and they keep it on file. Doesn't matter if I have a title or not.

How is it to scrap a car in MD?

My brother works as a recycler, man In MD and DC it seems all you have to do is yank the car off the street. If it has a TOW sticker (MD) or has a bunch of tickets and no tags (DC) and its older than say a 91 it seems to be fair game. I know because we have contracts with a few apartment complexes to tow and they dont seem to require much but a police report to remove an abandoned vehicle. ..

Naw, my friend lives in Baltimore and a car isn't worth it--he uses a bicycle. Besides, when you think about it, losing your main mode of transportation really ***** with your daily schedule a lot.

that depends entirely on where you're located in relation to work. i, too, live in baltimore and there's no way in hell i'd commute via bike...unless it's got a motor.

Update. There is no update. The car is still missing. I have no leads. Every day I look to where it was parked, hoping that one day it will return. ( in better condition)

I ran a Carfax report on it and no new records since 8/17/2007 - however, I'll keep that VIN on file and run it occasionally to see if there have been any new records added.

Hope for the best
