Yeah, that's what I figured as well. Though I was only given one connector with the bumper, and I think that's just for the fog lights I tried cutting my stock harness and crimping it into the wires that are currently running to the turn signals but I just couldn't get them to work The wires were running a current, but it just wasn't transferring over.

I figure it will be easier to just have somebody who knows what they are doing tackle the problem.

I don't believe the harness was available. Unfortunately it's not as common as one might think =(

Do the Knightsport running lights double as fog lights as well? I know the big lights on the A-spec are meant to be fogs. Unfortunately my setup is incomplete =\ I might PM purerx7 and see if he knows anything about the wiring for it (since his new business will be supplying the bumpers).

The PITA part about it is that there wasn't even a harness supplied, at all, which connects to the lights. The wiring just ends in connectors (see pic), so guessing how it's all meant to work is really above my meager skill level =(

i guess you can try to wire it with the parking lights or just wire it straight to the battery and buy a switch for it and mount it somewhere in the cockpit

This is how I wired my fog-lights from my old rotary run racing lights. On the shifter console right behind the shift boot there are three buttons. I believe the middle one is for the fog-lights, you might not have this button as it came only on the touring models *I believe*, should not be a problem finding the button used. Now if you have foglights from the factory this is SUPER EASY:

I spliced into these two wires (found right by the hood-latch), ran the two positive wires from the foglights to the one positive and the two grounds to the one ground. That was it, then they worked great off the foglight switch. If you do not have that wiring, buy a used button from a touring model to put in where you have a vacant button (one of those three behind the shift boot) and wire to a 12v and ground then to your foglight wires, essentially that button acts like a cut-off switch.

I will post a picture tomorrow of the fog-light switch I am talking about as I am writing up a tutorial on how to install ganador mirrors.

(I'm mildly intoxicated, so please forgive me)

You, sir, are a ******* GOLDMINE! I didn't even need to look in a mirror, turn off the lights, and say your name 3 times (I believe that works for Jimlab, as a last ditch effort!), and you appeared!

Yeah, mine is a touring and it came with stock fog lights. Do you know if the fogs function at a half-on status to work like running lights as well? Or are they an all or nothing kinda deal? What kinda confuses me about it is that there are (I believe) 4 wires running out of the back of the fog light... not sure what to do with the extra ones, or which one is which if the fog lights serve a dual function =\

Thanks a bunch!

Levi

here is the google map for that location you are asking for.
if the weather ideal, it is a first come first to get a ideal parking spot. but it doesnt really matter. but on average if weather is good and sunny most people show on saturday from 4pm - 8pmish. this is not rx7 meet related more of a open house of random cars ,mostly old cars .

Smile May Meetup

What is the plan for the club meeting for May? Sorry to have missed April, but was in San Antonio. Any chance of the May get together being back in Yorktown since not to many showed for the last meet there at the bowling alley?

So... I've got good news and bad news..

Good news is that my car is in the country already (about a week earlier then I expected).

Bad news is that I got an e-mail from the Portsmouth shipping center today saying that I'm going to need to bring a tow truck with me when I pick up my car, since it's leaking coolant.
---> This has me REALLY pissed since there were NO mechanical problems, especially no issues with coolant, before I dropped it off for shipping... >-|

Anybody down with pizza, beer, and some wrenching this week (if there is an actual problem) at mine?

I'm really afraid that that may, in fact, be the case... My rad is a one-off PWR unit made specifically for a VMIC kit provided by only one shop in the world (that I'm aware of), located in England. Replacing it will be teh suck, welding it will have me scared..

its going to be tricky to weld aluminum also unless you're a welder, something could have struck your car while in motion, there's got to be a bunch of loose things on those ships

Yeah, so the coolant leak was just coming from one of the worm clips on my lower rad hose... odd since It's stopped leaking now that I've driven the car around some (I didn't do anything to it either... very strange).

BUT... those asshats with the shipping company drove over too steep of an incline, too quickly, and have COMPLETELY cracked both lower sides of my bumper (just to the inside of the oil cooler ducts)... Then they tried to alter the paperwork to make it look like I'd turned it over for shipment that way... Did they not realize that I've got the original copy?!?!

Now I gotta find a place to fix the bumper, and fight the battle with the company for compensation.

Is it too much to ask to have my car shipped in one piece? The Greddy shift **** that was in the car originally was stolen when I had it shipped to the UK, now this on the return trip? C'mon....

Joey at Stock and Modified will fix that bumper since you're getting it painted there anyways. Make sure he writes the estimate minus your compensation from the shipping company

Anybody else signed up for the TSCC event at Little Creek ACU 4 next weekend? I'll be there in the afternoon session but I think I only saw one other person signed up in a third gen in the morning.
