getting stationed in Willow Grove and have questions
ok everyone, i am in the Navy and they are stationing me at the Naval Air Base there. i am getting my Batmobile FD shipped, but not sure how things roll with inspection and what not.
i removed my ABS, my power steering and my AC. also for emissions i have a greddy intake with bonex DP, cat and greddy Ti. will i be failed for PA inspection with these mods? i am really hoping that i do not have to install my ABS again, because that was a bitch
any info on rotary meets, cruises and insight on who to stay away from would mean alot. also, do the cops treat the military like **** like they do in san diego? you think i can get away with not having any inspection stickers when they see department of defense stickers on my window? any info would help in any way!!!

If you keep her under 5k miles you wont have to pass alot of the requirements. Not to far away from you, maybe a hour or so is KDR, and there are always rotary meets in the NJ/NY/PA area! ABS,PS, and AC removal shouldnt effect inspection. Most places will pass you with your dp, just find a little dinky shop, if you have over 5k.
I'm very familiar with Willow Grove and grew up out there. Basically - Turbo23 is right, under 5K a year and you don't have to pass emissions and the actual inspection is pretty light. As long as the brakes are OK, no broken windshield, tires, lights, etc. are fine...
I wouldn't worry about the cops here. Horsham thrives off of that base and generally, the cops are decent and respect that. Any cop out here has a f$ckin boner for pulling you over without inspection stickers - so I would get it done. The DOD sticker goes in a different spot and you'll stand out without an inspection (it's like $100.00).
I've always been a little dissapointed with the lack of meets in Philly. It's a town with 3 million people and plenty of FD's - but no organized meets too often. You'll have fun here though. Shoot me a PM when you get here and I'll swing up in my FD - I work 10 minutes from the base. You probably won't be here long though - I thought they were shutting the base down except for National Guard...
BTW - do you still have any of those AC parts? I need a condensor...
Good luck -
Dave
