I'm aiming for september 10/11. I hope I can have my FC ready by then. It's going to take a lot of work (aka money). In the meantime in june i'm going for the gusto: skip barber racing school up at limerock or 3 days (june 11-13). Then June 14th one more day at limerock with SCDA1.com in my trusty honda. Hey, when in Rome...
AHHH! I'm going to be limerocked-out (and broke)
June 15 & 16... TEMPTING. I loved thunderbolt and it's a saturday...

My first event will be at NHMS with COMSCC in May (Memorial Day and the following Tuesday). You should head up North for a couple of days.
Count me in for a couple days in June!

**** it! The 15/16 of june then. I'm off that whole week, and the 15th is my birthday... so might as well keep the celebration going.
The only problem is... New Jersey. 4.5 hours of traffic and 4354538 tolls to get get there

Too bad I moved my FD out to Cali. Do you have a copy of that picture from Monticello? That was me in the red FD behind you...got some nice vid of you until I got stuck behind the slowest cobra replica in the history of the world.
Rich if you can look at my turbo (no charge) and give me the okay that it will hold up I'll be sure to sign up for the June 15/16 event. I've been dying to try Thunderbolt. So what do you say?

I still need to officially sign up for June 9th and 10th, I've been super busy with other things....

Curious... what does everyone do about insurance? It is my understanding now that insurance companies no longer cover any type of event. They say specifically there is no coverage if you are off road on any type of roadway designed for high speed driving. Some specifically call out auto cross and HPDE. I've also read that if you call some companies and ASK, they drop you!
Of course the best policy is "don't crash" but you never know...

I don't think there is enough evidence that companies will "drop you" because you inquired. Driver's are allowed to shop around for quotes without disclosing too much information about yourself and still can inquire about HPDE driving events.
My understanding is that you should remove/cover all license plates before entering the track. Then, in the event should you crash, you should find some way to tow the vehicle elsewhere (meaning anywhere but the track). Then take it up with your insurance company.
Or better yet (to play it safe, sound and legal) you can purchase this - http://www.motorsportreg.com/index.c.../hpdeinsurance
Hope this is helpful and see you on the track soon.

I already do the whole taping of the plates thing. I remember a while back reading about Mitsubishi cancelling warranties on EVO's because they would catch people at the track via the plate number.
Thanks
