Ken, I actually have some questions for you about megasquirt. I'm going to be rebuilding the engine when I get home (money permitting) and will go dual megasquirt on it.

I'll show if people are going to do more than eat then leave. Everyone is always gone by 4pm. Too far to be driving for just a 2 hour lunch.

DUAL megasquirt? for what? I can't really think of anything that would need 2 megasquirts except maybe a v16 or something..

I was thinking that it would be cool to have one independant system per rotor. That way you could tailor the fuel/spark for how the rotor is running. Just my idle musings.

Likely I'll be going, I found out the 88 and the 90 have the same gear ratios . . . so I'm gonna swap in the tranny, I might be ready~!

Dual megasquirts is awesome, but expensive!!!!!!!?!!!!!1111oneoneoneelevendyone

If I had a V8 I might do something like that, treating each bank like an i4 or so.

I'm open to suggestions about activities to extend the meet to longer than 2 hours. I think everyone just gets bored, unless (like me usually) they've got something to do afterwards. Once you've seen the limited amount of cars that are there, there's not a lot to do unless you're a social butterfly, which I'm really not. It's pretty tough to get a bunch of guys together as often as monthly, and to stay for a couple hours in an empty parking lot is actually pretty good. Maybe people could bring chairs so we can BS outside instead of taking up room in the crowded restaurant?

It's really not that hard to find. Is there a particular part of Mapquest that gives you trouble?

Nah, go with a forced induction if you need something else to play with once you do the swap

My opinion is that you'd be overcomplicating things if you do that... but I'm sure you could probably get it to work..

I just think it'd be a lot of extra work for little return...

Oh yeah, and if you use the stock ignition ... there's no way to run "per-rotor" on leading... unless you buy 2 coils and 2 IGBT's (transistors used to charge coils) and run them that way.

Go to somebody's garage, do some car talk, tech session, check out an SCCA event, go on a scenic drive, meet up with another car group, hit a kart track, go to a drag strip. there's plenty of car related stuff to do and plenty of non car related things to do. People just need to stick around long enough for things to happen. I'm always up for helping someone work on their car. And I've especially been trying to see your FD but to no avail.
