FS: 1996 Audi A4 2.8 V6 Quattro 5 speed, 174k miles, Rhode Island - $4200
Up for sale is my 1996 Audi A4 Quattro. Price is $4200. Kelly Blue book puts the value of it at over $5700, and that's not counting all the stuff I've done to it: Wheels, lowering springs, etc. The wheels alone were $500 a pop when brand new. I need to sell it soon, because that's my new 2004 Grand Prix GTP in the background... I don't need the Audi anymore. It's been a great, reliable car... I've averaged almost 800 miles a week on it, and it has always been very good to me. The Quattro system is fantastic, even with the 40 series tires, I've never had a hard time in the snow.
Mods:
Short shifter - K&N filter - Cat-back exhaust - Vogtland lowering springs - Koni 5-way adjustable shocks - Debadged - Aftermarket grille - BBS 17 x 8 wheels - Clear corners and side markers
Every mod that can be done to a 2.8 V6 has been done to this.
The car also has:
Leather
Cold Weather Package (heated seats, locks, washer nozzles)
6 disc changer/Bose system
Now, here's the real fun part... Here's a list of things I've recently had fixed or changed:
Clutch - less than 8k miles
Rack and pinion - less than 2k miles
Tires 235-40-17, ZR-rated- less than 5k miles
AC blower motor - less than 5k miles
Rear wheel bearings - less than 5k miles
Timing belt and water pump - less than 15k miles (good for 75k miles)
Tie rod ends - less than 5k miles
Sway bar end links - less than 5k miles
In addition, all the control arms have been replaced in the last two years.
Basically, this car is about as perfect as I can get it. I always get compliments on it, and no one around here can believe it's got 174k miles on it.
Here's pictures.
