Fredericksburg, VA MEGA-MEETS.
What is up my VA Brethren.
For several months, now I have been trying to get things to happen in my area.
Well, things has come to fruition. Remember those Woodbridge mega-meets 2 years ago. Well, I have arranged to host mega-meets on a HUGE parking lot. By HUGE this parking lot is 500+ parking spots. You are not seeing things, that is not a type. OVER FIVE HUNDRED PARKING SPOTS!!!! (See picture below)And it gets better. The parking lot is privately owned, meaning the cops can not force us to leave. In addition, I will have a letter from the property owners that will authorize me to have these meets (hopefully I will get the law enforcement support). And if things couldn't get any better, there are plans to have annual TRACK DAYS at the parking lot.
Now understand that this will be at a church property. There is NO obligation to attend/go to/volunteer at (etc.) this church.
Now with that comes some rules, we have to be respectful after all!
1)This will be a 100% drug/alcohol free event.
2)No racing through the lots (unless we are having an event of course)
3)NO BURNOUTS!!!
May 1st 10:00PM it all kicks off!!!
ends whenever it ends.
ADDRESS:
11120 Gordon Rd
Fredericksburg, VA 22407
Check it, picture! (this is an old Satellite shot they have expanded the parking lot a little)

SUCCESS AT REV-X
All in all. REV-X was a success. Being our first meet, I hoped for about 50 cars. We actually had about 60-80 cars total. At one single time we had about 55 cars. There were a few people that left before the peak and a few people that arrived after everyone left. We all just chilled and hung out until 1:53AM and then I had to kick everyone out because the permit letter to assemble only covers until 2:00AM.
A local mustang club contacted me with interest in REV-X. Also, another event organizer contacted me about combining his meet (estimated at around 200 cars) with REV-X. So I am expecting a bigger crowd this Saturday or the next Saturday.
There was only 1 RX-7 and one other RX-7 owner that showed. Come on, Rotaries (or those with V8 swaps ) REPRESENT!!!!
SEE YOU THIS SATURDAY!!! (May 8th @ 10:00PM)

REV-X grows by 45%.
This weekend was cold as *****. But despite the wind and low temperatures. REV-X had a better turnout then the first weekend. With a total of about 100 cars the whole night, we grew about 45 percent from last weeks 70-ish cars. The cold did cause a lot of tuner to stick around for only an hour, but that caused us to have two peak times each peak having about 40-45 cars. Also I met with a few shops that have expressed interest in getting involved. Keep spreading the word and the larger we grow the more I will be able to do with this program.
See you again May 15th!!!!!!

REV-X and VA Rides join forces.
With the rapid expansion of REV-X, I was going to need an internet base to help get messages out. For that I turned to VA Rides (www.varides.com) for assistance. VA Rides and REV-X will work together to provide a safe environment for automotive enthusiast to relax, show off their cars and just have a good time. VA Rides will be my primary source of getting information out, like track events, vendor sponsoring, etc. Register at VA rides (.com) and check out the Official REV-X Forum at http://www.varides.com/forums/index.php?board=10.0 Also, VA Rides is bringing with them some very strong resources, as well as the resources I already have in place. There are some details that REV-X and VA Rides need to fine tune, but the deal has been sealed and we are working together with a common goal. One thing is for sure, the larger REV-X grows, the more we are going to be allowed to do with REV-X. The goals is to have 100 cars at peak time by the end of this month. 300 by next month and pack the parking lot by the end of July. So spread the word and spread it far and wide. The next meet is:

Com'on guys, you got to get involved in this. This is going to be BIG. How big I can't say yet, because the potential sponsors and REV-X have to agree on certain terms, so they are not in yet. But think BIG, like Dirt 2 release BIG. Go sign up at www.varides.com

As for weather, here is the general rule I am going to live by wether (excuse the pun) REV-X will run or not. I will arrive at the Church Parking lot at 9:00PM. I will touch the pavement with my hand. If the pavement feels wet, we are off for the weekend. If the pavement feels dry (regardless if the sky is glommy or it had just rained 30 minutes prior), we are on.
IF YOU DO NOT SEE MY CIVIC (VA plates VEEETAK) OR MY SONATA (VA KDT-1733) DO NOT HANG OUT ON THE LOT!!!!!

REV-X CONTINUES TO EVOLVE!
As REV-X continues to grow in attendance, we have to evolve to keep up and keep bringing in a bigger crowd. First off, I have attained approval to allow local vendors and performance shops to setup booths to expand their customer base. I have one auto customizations shop who plans to be there this Saturday and two other shops who have shown interest in setting up a vendor booth, but have not given me an answer for this Saturday, yet. We have a major national sponsor on standby, but will only come if break 250 cars for a single meet and a single time. We are in the process of acquiring a competition level Auto-X timing system for track days. I hope to have a sound system this Saturday. So I can speak to the crowd and play some music, with the plan to eventually have a Live Band. Lastly, I want to express my appreciation to the attendees of REV-X for not assembling on the property this past Saturday as REV-X was canceled due to weather. Keep spreading the word, I am excited to bring on this major sponsor. This weekend, the weather looks good for Saturday.
SEE YOU @ 10:00PM ON SATURDAY, MAY 29TH!!!!!
