i saw a red r1 at a gas station and stopped. turns out its the owner of the gas station/mod shop's car.

had some REALLY nice BBS's, guy said they were worth 4k alone. stripped interior, cage installed. i think the motor is relatively stock, he said it was blown and would consider selling the whole car for 10k. 33k miles on the chasis.

i also talked to him and he said he used to be really big into rotaries, FDs specifically, and knew a guy down the street that rebuilds the stock twins, and also made a "black box" that replaces 90% of the rasts nest. i asked him if it was the black box found on the 99+ cars and he said it wasnt. also said a friend of his has a TON of stock and aftermarket parts for sale, including a brand new set of 99 spec turbos.

just an interesting find, thought i would share.
