Feedback Needed,Maryland BBQ

Ok,Last year was a very low rx7 count, compared to the previous year.
Eld performance has moved there shop about 5 miles up the road to a bigger
area.So the question is should we do it again this year or is it dead.I have done all I possibly could to make it more than just a few rx7s hanging out in a parking lot--So let me know kill it or keep it.

Absolutely keep it unless it's something you don't feel like doing. I know I'll be there. If we can get 25-30 cars to Fuddrucker's once a month, you should be able to get quite a few more than that once a year.

When you get a flyer done let me know - I'll print some and pass them out to whoever I see. Hopefully this year my car will be done and ready for the dyno. And I need some pics of your girl "friends" enjoying themselves in my car, too

Where's the new shop at?

Keep it, between the Fuddruckers **** and our newly formed So. MD meets we should be able to pull most of the crown easy.

There new shop is right off benfield blvd, where the ice skating rink is.
comming from rt3/301 take the benfield blvd exit.then first left at light, then next left at light.Go across 97--Ice skating rink in on the left,go down to stop sign, hang a right--go about a 1/4 mile will see a big sign company sign on right take that road and there right there at the end on the right. There shop is nothing like there old one.Real small show room, but huge shop area--Brian can put 34 cars in it.

ROY.. 5 miles up the road??
Not that it matters.. but ELD has moved from Crofton to
I think Glenburnie area/Severn area.
My buddy owns "summit mortgage" in Benfield blvd industrial area.
They are probably neighbors..

Anyways..

Roy don't give up the ghost.. Keep at it..
I know a secret word that would make it the biggest turn out ever.
But not sure if you can do it or not.. But you can play its card..

Oh yea, the SECRET word is

" F R E E "

you'll have every 7 owner in the NE region flocking there..

Free FOOD/BEER... = MONEY

oh yea another suggestion.

Roy, ever consider having the BBQ during the evening/night??
It might require alittle more labor to set up lighting and everything.

But when you have events in the evening, its more of a party atmosphere.
Won't be so freaking "HOT" with sun beating you down. And people
would have plenty of time to GET there.

and all the chicks/models with Buther face and hot bodies would look nicer,
cooler for cars doing dyno runs.

Just some suggestions..

It's actually Millersville. According to Mapquest, it's 7.27 miles between the two - he was pretty close.

By the time this one rolls around, I'll be out in Carroll County, so it'll take me an hour to get there. It doesn't matter to me where it's at, as long as there's good food and drinks, nice cars, and half-nekkid chicks who will pose with my car

I think having it later in the day if possible is a good idea. I'm not big on drinking beer before noon

Well the first years of it everything was always free--just throw a tip out to the girl
handing out beer, drinks or food. That way they got a little cash, and I made a little back on the stuff.
Last year while I was at M.I.R I got mikes BBQ to come down and setup.Hell I figured,I had busted my *** getting everything up and running--food,drinks,beer,giveaways,prizes.
That was one less thing I had to worry about and no one could complain about running out of food.Well--lol--It was not even half the people that showed the year before last and the guy running the food stand was all pissed at me.I just pretty much said **** it--its not my fault. No one ever wants to cook--thats the hardest part. When you get over 200 people its pretty hard for one person to feed everyone especialy free--My pockets can only go so deep.A night time deal would be cool--but also at night cops would be looking pretty hard
Me giving away beer is touchy and I have to be carefull,Also alot of guys drive pretty far
and don't want to drive there cars back home late at night (again cops)

I say keep it. Only been one time, and I enjoyed myself a whole lot. Especially the in house dyno was really cool idea.

Maybe you can get Ray and the guys at PFS to come down, and Ray can do some tuning sessions. And he can show off his skills, and put word out there for the shop.

I will def. be going this year. Missed it last year. You normally hold it on sunday's right?

Yea the one that was there the year before was Mike (93LS1RX7) who I think is banned from this site. He proudly claims the title of biggest ******* on torquecentral though

I'll let him know how this turns out, and I'm sure I can get him to bring his car out again. He's gone with a bigger iron block LS1 that should run solid 9's without pushing the go-baby-go button. We're heading to a Memorial Day gathering in Hernando, MS called Seven Not Stock (you guessed it, engine-swapped RX7's).
