Does anybody know where I can go to pass emissions in the NOVA area for my FD? I'm tired of being told my RT cat is a resonator.

And to weed out the smartass responses, no I don't have the stock system, so that is not an option.

 

I have a stock cat i'll let go for $50, but w/o the air injection check valve

 

Thanks, but these pieces have all been welded together, and I'm trying to avoid taking this stuff apart. This setup passed 2 years ago, but the place that installed it and inspected it have since changed hands, so I'm up a creek now. Everywhere I go, I'm told they can't pass me because there's no cat insisting it's just a resonator. I show them the picture preinstalled with the brand sticker on it, try to explain what Random Technology products look like, and I get the same deer in the headlights look every time and then insistence that I'm lying. There has got to be somewhere around here that knows what the hell they are talking about.

 

I usually take mine to either the BP or Liberty on Lee Hwy and pass no prob.

But then again, i'm stock

Suggest you contact the state if you get no resolution.

 

Contact state with reciept and pics and web info on the cat. Someone fails you because of them saying you have no cat and you have documented proof it is. They can be put on suspension and or loose there inspection license
