Red face Does anyone have a Datalogging wide band I could borrow?

Hi all

I live in New Hampshire and im having a hard time getting money for a good datalogging wide band. Wondering if anyone close by has one that I could borrow for a few days so I could do a safe tune on my motor?

I can give out some personal information to the one that lets me borrow their wideband for some security.

Thanks all.

The new NGK one is under $300.

Good luck. It's quite a responsibility to borrow one, especially if you can't afford to buy one. If you break it, how are you going to replace it? It's not like borrowing a sturdy impact gun or a torque wrench.

My bf has one, but he uses it for his tuning business. The Innovate one is sort of fragile looking with its plastic case and if anything happened to it while someone was borrowing it, he'd be fucked. The other thing is that if you're not careful using it, the O2 sensor can get damaged and new, those are $65 at the VW dealerships.

I understand. Hopefully you will find on to borrow in NH. It's just that most people who own their own wideband, tune for a living or as a side job. So aside from worrying about if their electronic equipment might get damaged, another aspect, is that they are not going to want to lend it out for free or to even other free tuning advice. It may sound selfish, but my bf has taken the EFI 101 course, spent hundreds on hours researching on the 'net plus almost as many hours on his own car, let alone his customers. Plus the stress of keeping clean his record of not blowing up any motors yet. lol. Years ago, he would have gone to DIY tuner meets to hang out and share the knowledge wealth, now he doesn't, and even hates to be pestered by his friends about this stuff. It's sort of like being a doctor or a lawyer...

well, good luck with your tune.
