CT Rotary people

Hey guys, I know some of you, but I know CT has alot more rotarys then I have seen. I'm the president of the CTRA (Connecticut Roatry Association), we are affiliated with the NYRA and NJRA. We have several meets in CT each year, along with many large meets in the NY area. Here is a link to the web page we have with the NYRA. http://www.nyrotary.com/forum/

Come on and register and meet the family as well as see our meets for the upcoming year.

John

Speaking of which, i read somewhere that in 2005 there was 117 FD's registered in CT, but ive only seen three my whole life living here. the First was an aftermarket green with Spec 99 tail lights when i was like 15, the second was my own VR FD, and the other was my buddy Dave's VR FD. other than that, i havent seen any other FD's. ive seen one SA/FB and 4 FC's beyond that no other RX-7's. I know they exist, i just dont ever see them!

and if everything goes well, my RHD FD will be on the road by spring.

Apparently from the replies no one knew of this...I actually didn't know their was a president either. By the way who appointed John, you? I thought you where NYRA. That would mean that this would be CTRA business. I would also like to know if there was anyone else who agreed or voted? or was CTRA a one man crew before anyone joined? I think there is a lack of communication going on here. I really don't care if there is president or not, but I feel that this was not handled appropriately. If this was handled in a manner that everyone in the organization came to an agreement on who is who, then maybe a surprise like this would not have happened.

I just like to see that there is communication between everyone in the organization. I also do not have any problems with John he's a cool guy. Jason on the other hand, you never let me borrow your DVD's. you bastard!

Well to be honest if chiqui had concerns he just should of hit up john and talked to him about it dunno why he posted that comment. he is airing it out not me. But originally when i wanted to expand the club since CT always roll deep to the meet, and john was the only person attending the meets originally (he came to every meet lol). He started to get more ppl from CT in the NY meets and me and john became mad cool. So when i wanted to expand the club to CT i asked john if he would take care of the CT division of the club since my hands were full with NY. He didnt officially acknowledge the title but he set up caravans and meets in ct and has helped me out alot.

I told john that once it was established he can run the club as he saw fit. There was never an official President, VP or anything in CTRA but i left that up to him and the people in the crew. If other people think they do as much work as john and deserve a title well its CTRA business. I know you developed the logo and its a hot logo may i add. So if you, chiqui and john gotta sit down and discuss this by all means please do. I know i am newly acquired to your state =), but i maintain all my business in NY and only want to help the NJ and CT chapters grow and expand so we can expand our club to allt he other states.

And in my eyes john is the president of the club cuz he was appointed and he accepted the role and responsibilities. Just like in NYRA, the people that help out and do a lot of work for the club as in organization and expansion they all have titles. Check outthe REGISTRY every major section in NY has atleast 1 representative, this way its easier for us to work together and not bicker online because someone has a title.

Few people on the forums know why i am the ONLY person running NYRA, that is because the other 2 ppl i had on board wanted to throw me out of the club i built over the years. I put in all the hardwork organizing events, getting people together , giving out directions, calling people one by one and post whoring. SO its been a lot of work for me, and all i offer my CTRA bothers who are part of NYRA and the general rotary association is help and advice and an oppertunity to work together. NO BEEEF

ANd yo i never lent you the videos because someone went and got married and dissappeared to PUERTO RICO for like 2 weeks lol.

So common this doesnt look right for our clubs man if we are here complaining about a title. Actions speak louder than words (and titles lol)

So lets get this **** cracknig right for 08, not start a finger pointing thread. Hollah

I re-read the posts and there are some comments that a few of us do not like. I thought CTRA stood on its own? I know you graciously gave us some space on your site, which I appreciate and thank you, but I can't stop to think at what price? The loss of autonomy?? One thing for sure, I am not inclined to be involved in an orginaization that tells its members "this is how it is." Especially from another organization.

You are invited to attend our meeting Sunday Jan 17, 3pm at chiquirx7's place, but it will not be a CTRA meeting.

If it snows it will be postponed to next Sunday.

All this because I used the term President. Wow this is getting petty. On the 4th post down I dropped it. Sorry if I feel that I tried to orgainize and get people involved last 2 years and push people to attend meets. I know Chiqui has close connections to alot of rotary guys which helps alot. This will be the last post I'm putting up on this, and I will air this out on the open forum because it was started there. If you guys had an issue with me using the term, then you should have PMed me or called me as you all have my number instead of droppin it out like that. It would have been setteled no problem. (I appaligized for that mis tongue) Now this **** has blown up. I remeber the 4 of us getting together a saying that we need to do a CTRA thing because Jason is doing a great job. I also remember that you said I could be the spokes person or front man on it. All this going back and forth and it seems like you guys wanted a meeting (never contacted me) starting a new site (never contacted me). I guess Chiqui said he would PM me (no PM). Well man up on this. Go back a check anything on the CTRA the past year and a half and 90% of it was me. If this is so important call me. If not I'm out.

Sorry if it looks like a rant.
