This is why there are more meets in Jersey and NYC then CT. You guys won't drive and your scared because of someone you do not understand (NY'ers) I'm sure you won't come to Rotofest because it's a long drive and someone may look at you funny too.

actually john, im from massachusetts. which is a 4 hour drive for me one way, not including traffic to NYC. and actually, ive driven to a meet in New Jersey (e-town) and i would gladly drive and most likely will drive to rotorfest in great meadows, nj which is at least 5 hours away with traffic permitting. so i dont know why youre on here giving people ****. if i wanted to, i could get on my cell phone and have at least 10 FD's, FC's, and FB's meeting within an hour from my house, which by looks of the pictures is what happens at the New York meets. im not trying to **** in your snow, but 8 cars to me is not worth a 4 hour drive. i love seeing new RX-7s and meeting new owners, but not enough to drive 4 hours for a small meet. and why would we get funny looks? for being massholes in yankee country? and it says connecticut under your name not new york, so why are you talking about connecticut 7 owners like you're not one? think before you type. correct me if im wrong, but you just might not know what you are talking about. and yes i am from massachusetts not connecticut. and its not like i see you in Boston at our meets either. 'are you afraid of people you dont understand or afraid of the looks youll get?' yea, your post hit me the wrong way.

anyways, back to the topic at hand. i let the subaru guys know that i was bringing some other RX-7's and they were cool with it. theres also going to be a Corrolla there, so we wont be the only odd ***** there. nemish, i wouldnt bring those certificates to this meet on thursday, but i do appreciate the gesture. i think if we set up a meet closer to you in southern ct we can get a more mix of people to go from all over the North East.

EDIT: there were at least 20 cars at the last NYC meet on June 4th. id love to go down to one of your meets, i can take the funny looks as long as you guys can take a Red Sox fan. its more like 3 hours to get to NYC from where i live and 4 hours to get to NJ, just so people dont start busting my *** on that, i figured id correct it first

Yo it aint like that , my club meets (NYC RR) arent bad. LAst meet 1 guy got arrested, another guy almost got murdered, no shoot outs.

Whats a lil stab wound gonna do, you'll survive. John comes to all our meets and hes from CT and hes in one peice and he still has his car.

Stop listening to the hype, NYC is as safe as CT

Whoa..iim no gonna get in on all this but ima hollat at you for a second. John and 4 other CT gusy came to our last meet we had 25 Rotary powered vehicles at our meet. Now thats good given we live in NYC where things are hektic and ppl work mad hours to keep these cars running.

NYC and the metro area (PA,NJ,CT) has been really bad for rotary owners. i see all these meets for other cars and i get upset. Only thing we got going for us is ROtorfest for the east coast which brings cats from FL and VT. SO i decided to get NYC popping off and hold meets as well. At first it was just for us NYC guys but we gotta show love to PA NJ and CT heads as well.

I know its long drives for you guys. But i have mentioned to other RX7 members in NJ and CT to hold a meet in your NEIGHBORHOOD and i will bring my 25-35 RX7 from NY. But as of now its not going on.

So therefore i keep extending my meets to anyone in the surrounding states that lives at a reasonable distance. Get your crew together from your state/area and bring em to the meet.

This meet we have June 25th (weather permitting ) will be the last meet in NYC area for right now. Meaning i am trying to set up a meet bout 1-2 hours away from NYC to give the guys coming from upstate NY a chance to save there toll money and what not. We have 10 guys coming from outta state showing us love and they pay extra for that.

So to offset the $$$ cost we are willing to throw meets in other states but its not our hood so wee dont know the good spots. So we want you CT guys to find a place let us know and i will roll iwth my people, adn from out meets you can see we gonna roll deep, none of that. Oh they never showed up

We say we gonna go we go. Many ppl holding meets and never go.

SO yo lets just unite and have fun, lets get a MiNI rotorfest type meet between NY and CT so we can dead this animosity we got going on.

John64 is my nugga, and i gotta back him up. And i know ppl tend to joke about NYC being bad but look its a city with 8 million people with all types of characteristics. Just gotta go every hood with ure head up. Trust me ppl in nYc like to pick on ppl when we know they scared haha.

I got to school in HARLEM , OMG the ghetto lol. I look white (but im hispanic), and i never ever had a problem. I had more beef in good hoods than i do iin the GHETTOs. Just take it easy come to the meet and eat food and talk to rotary guys. We dont have to beef, our kinda is rare lol

i didnt mean any disrespect by anymeans. like i said i love rx-7's just as much as any other enthusiast on this site. looking back at the posts i think john was just busting our asses on how we (ct. and massachusetts owners) dont head down to the NYC meets and it was late, and it set me off so i posted. what it did do however is set a fire under my ***, making it a point for me to actually attend a NYC meet just to spite you guys just kidding. we all love the same idea and we're all one big club. not little clubs broken down into regions. granted i dont talk to people from New York or New Jersey as much as i talk to people from New England, but im always willing to drive down for some fun and to meet new people. i think connecticut would be a great spot to meet considering that its in the middle of the region- NH, MA, CT, NY, NJ, maybe even PA. as for ideas, im not from ct. so ill leave that up to you guys. as for this sunday, my cars getting a new flywheel and clutchdisc, so we wont be able to make it. we did have a meet at hooters maybe a year or so ago, and we had a decent amount of people. vosko and some others came up from NYC and NJ and we had a good time. i wish we did more then just eat, but thats alright. good people none the less. if i cant make it this sunday, ill be at the next one for sure.

alright, so for berlin heres what its looking like for people going:
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...0&page=1&pp=25

i will be racing lime rock until around 5. so ill leave the track as soon as i can and head over to hooters. glad to see you guys coming through. should be a good time.

Ok, I was about to go off, but he responded before I could. Look, the CT meets have always died out. I've been to 5 in the last 2 years and the only one that had anyone realy show up was put together by a guy from NJ! I've had much better luck going to NJ and NY then anything in CT. If you can get a rotory meet up, I'm in! I'm not going to a Subaru meet, I'm into rotories. Next time PM me before you call me out like that. Talk to Jason, I'm very laid back and mild mannered, but I can guarentee I'm twice your size!

John, ive met you before at the Hooters meet (Black FD next to the Red FD from MA.) and i didnt mean any disrespect, and believe me, i know how big you are . i should have pm'd you first before i made myself look like an *** and put you on the spot. again, i apologize. im currently trying to set up a meet in massachusetts for July so ill start a new thread once its finalized. we also have rotorfest in july, so that might be good enough as well. maybe a caravan for MA, CT, and RI guys wouldnt be such a bad idea either.

is anyone else besides me going to hooters tomorrow? subaru guys are an odd bunch where, well what i found, they dont really care too much for cars other then subarus. i do have some people lookin forward to seeing my car, but thats like 3 of 30. either way, if no one else but me goes, i understand.

enjoi your weekend in NYC boys, hope the weather holds out for you.
