Cookout at my house in Glen Burnie

I'm not sure of the date yet due to my crazy work schedule, but depending on that and the weather at the time, I'm thinking Saturday, July 1st. I know it's a little early but usually we hear about how people didn't have enough notice so I'm making sure there's plenty of time.

Last time we did this I came up with a list of things for people to bring. Not that I'm cheap or anything, but I spent all my money on my cars so I can't afford to buy everything

Anyone have any suggestions, comments, complaints, requests?

I'm in... Let me/us know what you'd like us to bring so we don't end up with tones of beer but no food.

I am willing, ready, and able to eat up all the food. Yeah let us know what to bring and I will do my part. I just hope it is not Memorial Day weekend? Going out of state to visit parents.

I'm looking at July 1st. right now. Memorial Day Weekend I'll be at Seven Not Stock in Mississippi:
http://www.team140.com/sevennotstock/

As far as who's bringing what, I will give this thread awhile to see who is interested in coming. Once we have a basic head count, I'll throw up a list of "things to bring" and people can claim what they want to bring with them. If it gets large and we need more stuff, then we'll divide it up - I wouldn't expect one person to be responsible for 75 hamburgers or 5 cases of soda or beer.

So far this is the only board I've thrown this up on. The last "RX7" thing had a decent turnout (about 25 folks or so). If this one doesn't do well here I'll invite some other local car folks I know. It'll still turn out fair though, as far as bringing stuff. Last year I covered all the missing last minute items, and I expect that when i host any sort of gathering. It's all good.

I paid for my food last year. I thought you made a good choice, that was a good *** sandwich.

I don't have a parking lot or enough friends to need a caterer, I'll just be firing up my grill and letting people have at it

Roy's friends would be more than welcome to attend if they want to hang out and talk about cars and drink a few beers. He probably figured that out already.

As far as who does the grilling, it doesn't matter to me. I think a few different guys handled it the last time. And I don't recall them being half-naked and getting hit with grease spatter or anything

Grow it extra long so I can borrow some of it. I can talk the talk but i damn sure can't make my hair grow like that. I keep trying to convince my wife to do the Pasadena Bitch Flip with her hair but she isn't buying that one either.

Ok I copied this from the thread I made last time, to make it easier than typing out:

Date: Saturday, July 1st 2006.
Time: 1PM until everyone gets bored enough to leave or my wife sends everyone home
Place: My house in Glen Burnie. Everyone who is planning on attending will get a PM with the address.

What we're gonna do: Fire up the grill and cook whatever food we have.
What we're NOT gonna do: Make a mess of my house

Here's a tentative list of things we'd normally see at a BBQ. If you can supply something off the list, or the cash for it, post up. Please copy and paste the list, adding your name where appropriate. Feel free to add different items if there's something specific you want to bring. This list will serve as an attendance list as well, so if you're bringing someone, list the number of guests it will be next to the itme you can supply.

*Note: We don't have to have everything on the list, this was just what I could think of that I normally see. If there's something you don't think we need, post your opinion on it. Also, if the guest list grows, then of course the guy who said he will bring the burgers, won't be responsible for feeding everyone. If it's a better idea for everyone to kick in a reasonable amount of cash and have me do the shopping, I have no problem with that. Just let me know!

Grill: Joey/Bridgette
Location: Joey/Bridgette

Burgers:
Hot dogs:
Beans:
Buns: 3 loaves of Wonder Bread - Coke
Potato Salad:
Cole Slaw:
Chips and dip:
Soda: Rufio
Beer:
-30pk (or a keg)of Coors light and a bag of Doritos - Roy
Ice: Joey/Bridgette
Desserty Stuff: Laura
Chicken:
Ribs:
Hot chicks: Roy
Paper plates: Joey/Bridgette
Napkins: Joey/Bridgette
Table: Joey/Bridgette
Chairs: Joey/Bridgette
GB Mullet: Mark

Also if you want some form of entertainment, I do have a stereo in the garage and as mentioned, any MINOR work needed can be done here during this event. That should be entertaining I ask that you respect my home and tools, because I'm the only person allowed to make a big mess here

For any other entertainment, post up your thoughts. Strippers wouldn't be out of the question, but they're not in my budget. If they're in yours, feel free to bring 'em on. Feel free to bring significant others or friends, as long as they understand my few rules about respecting my stuff - and as long as they're counted on the list of who's attending so we get enough of everything.

Sure! I'm sure we won't need a ton of either, usually it's more the finger foods that disappear quick
