Im in the Danbury area mostly, but i live dead smack between Danbury and Waterbury. Not many rotorheads in the immediate area but many in the car scene itself.

I'm in ansonia, car is coming out of the body shop this week. Hopefully have it on the road before the month is over.

On an aside, my very good friend who happens to own a shop is going to be having a meet this summer. I'll post up the info when it becomes available.

I know of the Vintage Rotary guys and they do some stuff not too far from me. Just waiting for a car to take to some meets.

My friend owns a Detail/Vinyl/Mod shop in Orange CT that will be hosting the meet. Last time we did one it was mostly Subaru guys (was driving an STI at the time) but this time will be a mixed bag. He drives a 04 VW R32 turbo and has lots of euro friends. I'm trying to show him that the RX is where it's at!

What meet is this?

My friend Andrew works at CIP Motorsports in Milford. They usually have a meet every year that I try to attend. Last year I missed it.

I know the owner at CIP and have for some time. Used to be in a band together when we were kids haha, those were the days.

I've met Andrew before on occasion and I think they do a good thing at CIP.

This is a smaller shop located in Orange, CT called Endless Details. We're trying to put together something on a monthly basis for the cars that aren't total junk.

I've been to a few shows locally and (euros especially) I don't understand what's happening to the show scene right now. It's all about how poorly wheels can fit and putting airbags on everything. I don't get it.

I agree. I don't even go to HIN anymore. It's a joke. Rediculous cars enter, and rediculous cars win. I'd rather attend a small meet and bs with a few beers.

No emissions testing for cars 25 years and over, and no vehicle inspection period in CT! How old is your car? Girlfriends t2 is conviently 25 years old.

Mine is a 94 so I'm going to have to get it sniffed. I have some tips to get it to pass but explain this vehicle inspection thing? There isn't one? That was the last thing I wanted was someone snooping around asking questions.

Nope. No inspection in CT. We have one here in RI. It's a complete vehicle inspection that basically leads any older vehicle owner having to know some one or pay some one off. CT just has to pass an emissions test for cars less than 25 years old and then your good to go.

To be correct and to inform all, when I registered the car I asked about the age for classic plates in CT and they said at the DMV that it's 20yrs not 25. So if you have a 20yr old car I'd say go get new plates and let's fool the system! Lol

I believe Early American plates qualify at 20 years old. This does not exempt you from emissions. That exemption occurs at 25 years old.
