CCSU 6th Annual Car Show Sunday May 7th!
Dear New England RX7 Club,
My name is Joseph Barbato, president of the Central Connecticut State University Car Club. Each year we have a car show/meet featuring all genres of automobile enthusiasm (obsession? lol). We would like to invite the NE RX-7 club and its members to participate! Our show has a grassroots orientation focusing on motorsports and peformance street machines. We would love to have you as our guests for the day and check out your daily drivers, show cars, or race cars!
Our general e-advertisement:
CCSU is having their 6th Annual Spring Car Show on Sunday, May 7th 9am-3pm. Our theme this year is "Gran Turismo", with award categories based on the GT theme! We're really excited about this year especially considering the nice weather weve been having! We would love to have some NE RX-7 club members come down and spend the day with us, those who may have attended before will agree its always a nice laid back show with more of "meet" atmoshpere than a bling-bling show. Our emphasis is on real cars that their drivers can enjoy rather than your stereotypical max-bling show car.
There will be your expected car show ammenities as well, including hamburgers and hot dogs, cold drinks, a live DJ taking requests, and a 50/50 raffle! Trophies are available for 1st and 2nd in most categories, which include FF, FR, MR, AWD, "Land Of The Rising Sun", "Stars and Stripes", etc etc. Theres even a motorcycle category this year! Weve also added a 4x4 truck category to complement the "sport truck" genre. 20 awards total; for a complete list check out ccsucarclub.com. Please note this is a nonprofit event! $5 bucks at the gate.
And, yes, there is a specific Rotary category this year!
I look forward to meeting some of you (not you Kahren, youd probably be too busy tuning a Honda anyway
)
Heres a couple of our e-flyers, illustrating the GT theme:
