is anyone a member of the auto cross club "capital driving club"? if so can anyone give me details about the club? their website is a little vague.

 

I'm a member. They're pretty much exclusively an autox club and hold events several times a month. Last year the events were pretty small but this year they ballooned in size to 70 or 80 cars. They run pretty much out of Harry Grove Stadium and a middle school in Manassas. It's pretty low key which is nice. There are no classifications, everyone runs against everyone else but they use your past scores to calculate a handicap for each driver to even things up. You get 6 runs a day, and there are usually four heats. You work the same heat you run so you're free to go off and do other things until your heat is running. They run all four heats in the morning and again in the afternoon, 3 runs each. Any other questions feel free to ask.
