Bucks County PA Fun Run May 7th!
Join us this saturday for some nice weather and some fun driving!
Saturday, May 7th @ 3:00pm
Any significant chance of rain will cancel the meet.
INFORMATION
The 'Fun Run' mini-meets are a monthly gathering of local MTMA members who want to have a fun ride around the twisty backroads of Bucks County, PA. The cruise is about 40 miles long with plenty of twists, bends, hills, and curves. We'll be meeting up at the Park & Ride in Yardley, PA off of I-95 right on the NJ/PA border.
The cruise will start at 3:30, and takes a little over an hour. Directions will be given to anyone who needs them. All MTMA members and anyone interested in joining MTMA is free to attend.
RULES
1. Keep a safe distance from each other. If we are going too slow for you, then just deal with it for the time being. I'll give you a copy of the directions if you want to take the drive faster by yourself.
2. Strictly obey any 25 MPH speed limits. There are a couple of residential areas along the ride.
3. Use common sense at all times. No burnouts, 'attempts' at drifting, etc.
4. We will be taking things fairly fast, so be prepared for some 'spirited' driving. People that do not feel comfortable taking sharp turns higher than the posted recommended speed (not the speed limit, the speed posted on the yellow signs) will want to stay towards the back of the pack.
5. On straights and slight curves, for the most part we will stay fairly close to the speed limit (~10mph over) to avoid attention from the police . However, there are some areas where we will temporarily 'kick it up a notch.'
6. If your car is significantly lower than stock you may want to think twice before going on the run. There are a lot of elevation changes, and people with really lowered cars have had some trouble. Use your own judgement when driving; I or MTMA accept no responsibility for any damages.
DIRECTIONS
From NJ/North: Take I-95 into Pennsylvania. Take exit 51 (the very first exit in PA) towards New Hope. The Park & Ride is on your right at the first light.
From NJ Turnpike: Take exit 7A to I-195 West. See directions from I-195.
From I-195:Take I-195 West to the end. Keep to the left, and 195 West will turn into Route 29 North. Continue on Route 29 North to I-95 South. Cross over the bridge, and take the first exit in PA (exit 51 towards New Hope). The Park & Ride is on your right at the first light.
From PA/South: Take I-95 North towards New Jersey. Take exit 51 (the last exit in PA). Keep left at the fork, and turn left onto Taylorsville Road. The Park & Ride is on your right at the first light.
From Southern NJ: Take I-295 North to the end. I-295 will turn into I-95 South. See directions from NJ/North.
Everywhere else: Send me a PM with your location and I'll get you directions.

its supposed to be sunny and 70.. so unless some strange event happens, we'll probably still have it.
anywho, we usually have one of these a month, so I'll keep you posted on the next one if you'd like. we can make the next one on a sunday if you think more can show up!

Only the one (HotWheel's *beautiful* '93), but that was mainly because the meet was only posted here a couple days before the meet (I think it was posted on Tuesday). Other than that, we had a Mazda6, a Mazdaspeed Protege, a Protege5, and my Mazdaspeed Miata. Oh, and the Mazda6 owner brought his friend and his Porsche. It was a really good time!
MTMA (Mazda Team Mid-Atlantic) holds events quite often in NY, NJ, PA, and DE. They are open to all Mazda enthusiasts, not just a single Mazda model. It's a good way to meet fellow Mazda owners, and learn about other cars in the Mazda family.
OK enough promoting the club...I hate sounding like an advertisement. Visit http://www.mazdateam.org and http://www.mazdateam.org/forum for more info
Or you can just PM me with any questions. I'm going to try to post info about all our meets on this board but may not be able to; that's why checking the MTMA forum is the best way to learn about upcoming local meets & events. Of course I will make sure to post info about all of the major events we have
