Looks good. I can't decide if I have an opinion on the exhaust setup. It's "weird" to me. Do you plan to leave it stock?

I kinda like the Exhaust.. I'm considering picking up this one.. https://www.harris-performance.com/w.../frameset2.htm

But $700 for a slip on is a little retarded imho.

My Hindle slip-ons were over $800 for my R1. But then, I've got two mufflers. It's a little steep, but I guess you have to pay to play, right?

Yeah I guess the main thing would be that the Bike is already way to fast for a sub GP rider like myself.. So its not a quest for more HP, just looks, which is hard for me to justify spending money on.

Mine's the same way, I've had it at Summit Point twice in the novice group and I wasn't passing anyone in the turns. It's a lot of fun, but it's harder (and scarier) than it looks. Mainly I bought mine because I hate not hearing the exhaust, and the stock cans were WAY too quiet.

What year R1 do you have Joey? I was really considering a 06 R1 as well.. It just came down to who gave me the better deal on which bike.

I doubt i'll see much track time on the Gixxer, thats what my Hurricane is for.

Have you driven a gixxer on the gas? Theres a guy on Gixxer.com that has a set up with a standard length swingarm at stock height.. I wonder if his front wheel is ever on the ground

We should all get together and go out for a ride this spring.. I really like taking the backroads up to Thurmont/Camp David.

04. I've been considering a trackbike also to lower the risk of wrecking the R1, but then I think about how much more comfortable something else (like a Hayabusa or ZX-14 ) could be on the street when the R1 was built for the track. Just can't decide what I want to do.
