Yeah, the place in laplata is pretty decent. It's off of radio station road. Just nice enough to get dirty, but no trails like they have at camp jeep or jeep jamboree.

I sell Jeep's, so I get the best of both worlds. I just hate the unlimted jeeps. I wish I would have bought a sport model though, so many nicer things on that than the X model. Gas charged shocks, 4 wheel disc brakes, dana 44 rear end axles. I got the shitty dana 35's. If you want to, we can hook up sometime and go to laplata. Where are you at?

I am in Lusby. just across the river from Californina. LaPlata is about 45mins from me. Cool any off road is cool. how rough is it? any obstacles? is it legal? I know there is a FOP lodge right around there plus the police academy is close by too(which i should be going to soon, for correction officer training) so I dont want to get kicked out for being dumb. plus my jeep is on a trailer right now. i cant get it out of 4 low. i think its cause my transfer case is too low. i am going ot raise it and see if that works. or see if its a linkage issue. anyway Yeah i hope we can meet up and get muddy. I have no problems bringing it there if it mean having fun! how much room to romp? I have alot of friends that would love to offroad locally.

blackjack- the area is huge, wide open. there is a gravel and mud road that leads to a wide open field you can romp through. i will get some pictures next time I am up there. i need to get some better tires though.

problem with your cj only being in 4lo is probably the linkage. what transfer case do you have on it? i can ask around the shop tomorrow if they have any idea what is wrong.

there are is no "no tresspassing" signs in the entire area. there is some stop sign with a metal gate that is on the trail that leads to fields. one of the girls at work has gone countless times and she has never had a problem before. not to say anybody else has.
