hey all... my buddy and i got his 1980 RX-7 up into the binghamton area from NC.... the carb was rebuilt about 4 years ago and the car hasnt started seince then so befor we moved it up we burned out the starter tring to get the car started we now have a replacement and had the car shipped up to us last summer.... the car has been siting for approx 5 years now and dosnt start. we recently pulled off the carb and are questioning how well it was rebuilt.
does any one in the area have the expertiese on how these nikki carbs are suppose to be assembled? if so would you mind us compairing carbs and maby seting up the floats and what not?

If you don't mind towing it to scranton there is a guy here that is really good with rotaries.
His shop is at 531 N Keyser Ave, Scranton Pa. It is called the Auto Doctor.

does it have good compression? when a rotary sits for that long the oil film on the housings works its way down to the pan, giving you low or no compression. I would check that befor messing with the carb!
