MA Best Place/Way to buy an RX-7?

Currently looking into buying an FD RX-7. There are definetly many different ways to go about it (eBay, craigslist, even a dealership), but I wanted to know from the community which route is the best (and preferably which one will give the most bang for my buck!)

Thanks for reading

Where you buy it isnt as important as how you buy it. Look for ones that are for sale near a good shop that specializes in rotaries to do a Pre Purchase Inspection. You can save $1k or so on buying some random one on Craigslist or eBay only to find out the motor is on its last legs and you need to spend thousands more to have it rebuilt. Other than that, its just finding the right car for you. Its not like FD's are so numerous that you will have dozens to pick from.

Hard to say there is any right way. Main thing is to do all you can to be certain the car was maintained well. The cleaner the engine bay, the better the car. Make sure you get a compression test. Should have some miles on it. Look for one with say at least 50,000 miles on it. You want it to have been driven. Get as much written service documentation as possible. Look for ones with reliability mods and not performance mods. Bigger radiators. Water injection. Bigger IC's.

Let it run for a long time to see if any issues occur.

carsforsale.com has a few. Best thing is to see/drive before you buy. Also, check out the history with autocheck or carfax
