I just got a flyer in the mail for the Belmont Racetrack Car Show & Swap Meet.
I went last year and it was mostly American Cars (90%), a few imports... but there was ALOT of extra space. The cars are pretty much grouped, for example Vettes in one spot, Mustangs in another...

I'm posting this to let anyone interested know that this place is PERRRRFECT' to get together and represent the Rotary. There is also a Swap Meet and alot of parts selling & trading going on.

The date is Saturday April 22 and Sunday April 23rd.

Show Cars register at 7am - 10pm and I believe it is open until Sundown, (it doesn't say specificly on the flyer but I will check and post back). Admission is $8.00 and kids under 12 are free. As soon as I find out how much it is to enter a Car, I will post back also.

88 Vert - Red Exterior with gray interior coming through. I just finished installing my Road Race Racing Beat Exhaust system too. Would love to make a little rotary noise...... Oh and I can definately scrape up parts to bring along to trade or sell.

Nice'... I'm glad to see there's some interest. Last year there was only one pretty Black RX-8.... and it was getting alot of attention. I'm bringing my 1st gen weather it's finished or not. And a bunch of parts to get rid of... I just have to find out how much it costs... My brother entered his Camaro last year in tha car show and he said he's not sure but it costed like 20-25 $$$ and he got a plaque...? I'll have to still find out the specifics for sure instead of guessing. So I'll see u there.

Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to know who is going and if we can possibly get a caravan set up from a location close to the race track so that we can call cruise in together.

I am bringing my vert to register for a show car, it won't be painted, but will be good enough to show as a good example of a classic rotary who's population is slowly diminishing.


We can meet up at a School which is in my old neighborhood. It is only a few minutes from the race track. The great advantage is that it will have parking to accomodate the get together caravan.

I want to definately get there by 8am, so meet up is to happen at 7-7:45 if anyone is interested in this or I could be wasting my time.

Its April already and the event is only 2 weekends from today.

I figured that if we could all meet up to caravan in, it would be nice to meet and know other RX owners in NY.

Please let me know if anyone is interested in doing the caravan, and a name would be nice to add to a list of individuals doing the caravan in....

I just talked to my manager and they said I may have a problem gettign the day off. I wish I knew more in advance. Ill know for sure tuesday when my supervisor gets back from vacation. This f'in blows.

Im definitely requesting the day of rotorfest off tuesday so there will not be any problems.

Hey Everyone,

We are doing a meet up at two places.

1'st is by my boy Jason's crib out in Jackson Heights at 7am and then the 2nd is by a Junior High School in Queens Village which is like 10 min away from Belmont Park at like 7:45am.

If anyone wants info on meet up address, PM me.

We would like to roll in together as a group and not go in seperate and not even know that other rotary owners are there and miss out on the chance to meet other rotor heads due to people rolling in seperate.

Remember the show is this weekend.

BklynRX7 - sorry to hear that you can't make it man that bites BIG TIME. That's more worse than those guys looking to steal your car.. lol. I would definately get that request in for ROTORFEST so that you don't hear any BS from your supervisor. If you are able to make it to belmont then that will be great.

As long as your vert is running then your good, dunno how u can post a temp plate with the top down on the vert... lol... I look forward to adding another vert to the group other than myself.

i MIssed out on a great day to do my tranny. I will be working on it tomorow morning with my boys and throughout the week so i got my fingers crossed nothing else comes up and its up for this weekend.

Im going to call my other boy these two asian guys with a n/a FC and a VERT so you wont be lonely ANil lol

yeah definately man. Tommy cant come cuase he has to work so thats outta the question. I know jimbo is going for SURE (85tIIdevil), your going , i gotta make sure my other two boys dont front cuase there working on there cars as we speak so hopefully notthing else goes bad by this saturday and they can come.

The only concern i have for me is i need to go and do some side jobs cuase i need to make a few $$$ by saturday to get my Falkenz put on and pay for Admissions cuase my pockets is EMPTY! lol.

But i will resolve this shortly so i can be there saturday.
