A couple of friends of mine from other car groups are coming, but I think they'll add to the fun. They're bringing a Porsche GT2, a Ferrari 458 Italia, and a Testarossa. I should have served roasted beef. Then I could have called it a "Cars & Cow" event...

Really looking forward to seeing everyone on the 25th. On Facebook there are 29 people signed up and 60 more interested. Another 5 have contacted me directly. And there are maybe 7-8 from here. Plus some spouses and children. Should be a good time.

Hi Gordon! I think I'm at 90% of making it this year. Sorry for the late notice but I wanted to wait until I was more likely than not. I hope you still have room for me (and possibly a friend and his girlfriend from Langhorne, where I'll be crashing that night).

I would love to have you come! I think we're good on food, but bring a liter or so of your favorite beverage. There are 10 people on here that are not on the Facebook event page (I think) and another 35 signed up on Facebook. Plus maybe 5 that haven't signed up either place. I think we have space for at least 40 Rx7's on the main lawn and then 5-6 on the parking lot and maybe another 8 or so on the side of the garage. At least 5-7 guys are bringing some other kinds of cars (anything from a minivan to a Ferrari Italia) and they can go across the way, if we run out of room.

Good meeting you, Matt. Thanks for coming.

Gio... Always just great to see you! Not to mention that blindingly yellow FD!!!

Great seeing everyone and "pigging" out

Ihor literally brought the entire IRP staff. And the Goopy guys - Jonathan and Jack. And, a Speed1 reunion sort of.

@Gordon,

Wanted to say a big thank-you for hosting your annual event.

It was my first opportunity to meet the Rx-7 community and I was not dissapointed.

Great people, great cars and one stuffed pig!

Kudos on a job well done!

Thank-you,

This was my first Time at this event and will not be the last (pending invite of course). Gordon, my wife and I had a great time and it was very nice meeting you. Everything was great from the food, the drinks, the company, the cars (even the non-rotary), the conversation... This event is a perfect example of what car meets should be like. Thanks a ton Gordon!

Hey, Nick. Say hi to Carmen. We enjoyed both of you. Glad you had a good time. It really isn't a car event as much as a picnic. Hope to see you next year.

Well, we have about 15 minutes of Go Pro video that Billy Thai made and is editing and another 1`0 minutes of drone HD video that my neighbor Frank took before the drone hit a tree. Should be up by the end of the week.

Correction: Bootleg GoPro because real RX-7 owners can't afford it. Here's the $20 DBPower Action Cam in action!

So, Billy Thai made a video of what I think I'm calling the "Rx7 Family Picnic" we had last Saturday. Billy did this last year as well, but this year his video is even better and really captured the event so well. I hope you guys all enjoy the video and for those near enough, please think about coming next year. Thanks, again, Billy, I am very grateful for your work on producing this great video!

Maybe this is Billy's video...

Definitely the only negative episode of a great day Gordon! (What happened to the drone? Beyond repair? I saw it happen then just went back to being mesmerized by the train set, cars, and people.) Thanks again for your generosity and hospitality! Looking forward to watching Billy's video.

I was a bit sore the next day after the 8-hour round trip drive - with a few high speed pulls to get my adrenaline pumping to keep me awake. Key evidence that race car drivers ARE indeed elite athletes.

It was great seeing you, Duc. Glad you had a good time and sympathize about the long drive. Yeah. The drone was amazingly just fine! It broke a tip off of a wing, but he had a replacement. I now have my drone flying. Got pretty excited about it. I have the same one my neighbor has and he helped me get it calibrated last night.

Looking forward to seeing you next year!

Here's a drone video my neighbor did at the BBQ. He came by early so he didn't catch everybody and he isn't a pro. In fact the drone crashed and broke some blades or he would have gotten more later. I have the same drone and now know how to use it. Next year I'm putting Billy Thai in charge of all video. He added the music to this and edited it or we'd fall asleep watching the grass grow... Thanks again, Billy.
