Back in the saddle....shakedown passes @ MIR today

First trip down the 1320 this year. First pass short shifted to 2nd gear and still went 10.01@139mph
Second pass everything seemed great. Im bangin gears like a mad man, then 4th gear and POOF the magic dragon, lol.....I never broke a turbo before, but I must say its better then breaking drivetrain or the motor!
Here is the 10.01 pass
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L8OsM298jXM

2nd pass where the turbo said "POOF"!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kSsUIvmRpXA

Another vid of the 2nd pass
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6dM7WgFUEk

2nd pass would have put me well in the 9's given I went 10.30 @ 109mph using 3 gears!

Here are the slips
First pass

This is the 2nd pass where the turbo took a ****..

Well, my new turbo will be on mid week. I'll hit the dyno just to be sure my map is ok cause this turbo is dual ball bearing so it'll spool quicker. In theory, I'll be faster

Good **** Ern... sucks the turbo is blown but your right beats an engine anyday. That car has alot left in her mid to low 9's here you come. Can't you just have the old turbo rebuilt?

Probably, but I don't like the turbo. The shaft is weak and thin. It didn't make alot of power and wasn't reliable. I stepped back up to the Dual ball bearing version. This way i just swap the cartridge and im done and ready for the race this weekend
