Exclamation Anytone Live In Ny? I Need Help!!

Hi guys I live in NY staten Island and i was wondering if anyone knows of any good shops here that deal with rotary engines...?

Im putting in a turbo 13 b motor into an 1987 rx 7 ...and need some questions answered please...

Can i avoid buying the turbo tranny and rear end cause my rx is Non turbo Josh from atkins said I can just use the lightweight flywheel... any suggestions?

Another thing is ...I need the turbo motor .... I got the money

I tried calling like 10 different jdm places they didnt have any in stock...

I called rotary shack and they only have the front clip, and the shipping from cali to NY is way too expensive.... ( $800)

Help me !

I have an 1987 rx 7, non turbo, and I want to put in the turbo motor...

It would be less of a headache if you find a T2 shell and just drop in the motor or you could just find a T2 with a recent rebuild, IMO.

Question Progressss....

I just talked to rob at rotary shack... Ill be buying the turbo motor and tranny...and hell make me the custom driveshaft.... to fit my NA rear end...

everything sounds good except to get this motor i have to buy a front clip...
( $2.500 ) its a right hand drive clip. but to ship it is 800 bucks...

but after I do buy this front clip i get everything... no need to get an ecu and any of that stuff... which is a good thing... and the clip has 3800 kmh on it thats like 16k miles on the motor and tranny thats good... . .

so Im getting a motor and tranny that will last ...( it better last )

has anyone ever shipped a motor to their house before?
how am I going to move it ? can i just ship it to a wharehouse where I can like come pick it up and they load it onto the truck or someshit? anyone know what the best way to ship the motor is?

do a jdm tyte rhd swap too!!!

its gonna be tough getting a front clip at your house, where do you live? i work over at clove and mosel.

i mean like you have no way of really moving it and unless you got a yard to put it in then yank the motor and swap everything in a week or so if you are mechanically inclined (i never done this before but heard of people doing it at a week or so via r&r no inspection of damage nothing... lol then what ever parts you got left on the clip sell it or uhh ill offer my services for it... lol and then call the junk yard to pick up the cut frame...

hey if anything if you got any parts left on the front clip or see stuff you dont need, you got someone here thats willing to help ... best of luck.

Talking Yo....

Whoa cool thanks mechanic... I actually ordered everything yesterday...
Rob at rotary shack is mad cool he is gonna help me out with a lot of ****...
Im not going to ship the whole clip to NY, im shipping just the motor and tranny and the driveshaft. much cheaper to do it that way and Ill probaby ship the turbo hood as well...

the only thing i need now is getting a shop to install it cheap for me....
since everythings going to be ready just to pop in it shouldnt take too long..?

How much should I expect to pay for an Install?
And do you guys know of any cool shops over here in Ny that will let me ship the engine straight over to them and install it ? (moneys tight! it would help if the shop wasnt too expensive)

If you're slightly mechanically inclined, and would be willing to buy beer, I'm sure there would be some people on the forum that would be willing to help.

Some of us even have tools, and FSM's, and FC experience.

Gotta make sure you get wiring diagrams, the Turbo ECU harness, turbo ECU, etc.

Unless you're going stand alone...

IMO, the most difficult part will probably be the wiring and rear end. Get some short wrenches for that.

Anyway, best of luck!!

James
